The nonprofit Paws of War is trying to help U.S. Army Specialist Howe send his puppy, Doc, back home to safety in Kentucky after the animal's rescue from dangerous conditions overseas.

Bo & Luke have a few things to ask. Most importantly, they are looking for their new family. Bo & Luke are 7 year old brothers that are deaf surrendered due to their owners plans to move.
We also need canned dog food, no gravy for stuffing all the pups nighttime treats with.

Meet Everest 💕, he is a 10 month old, 62lb Newfoundland/Boarder Collie mix. This sweet guy was in danger of being euthanized because the shelter he came from is beyond overcrowded. Thanks to some amazing rescues, we were able to bring this beautiful boy north where he can certainly find a home. Everest has only been with us for 4 days but he has quickly become a shelter FAVORITE. Everest gets along with EVERYONE, dogs, cats, humans and even chickens and roosters. Everest is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He is currently on heartworm and F&T prevention. This is Trooper “Jimmy” Rasaphone (SP Binghamton), 13-and-a-half-year-old Golden Retriever Lilah and her owner. Trooper Rasaphone and his partner Trooper Ana Reynas were dispatched to a report of a dog stuck in a culvert pipe in the town of Conklin. After learning that Lilah had been missing for several days and now deep underground Trooper Rasaphone decided he was going to help. The trooper tied a rope to Lilah’s leash and disappeared into the dark pipe. After crawling about 15-feet he found Lilah and got a collar on her. With the help of her owner, they were able to pull her out to safety. Troopers, thank you for going above and beyond and showing compassion to help get this pup back home to her owner.

This BEAUTIFUL boy is Max❤️, he is a 1-2 yr old Shepherd mix. This guy is by far the SWEETEST boy. Max gets along with dogs big and small. He is so gentle with humans. This guy has been with us for almost 2 months and we just can't figure out why. Aspen is the beauty queen of the kennel. 👑 She is 60 pounds of sweet, cuddle bug energy. 😁 Aspen is considered an Aussie/Lab mix, and she is mostly grown at one year old. It is a surprise to everyone at the shelter that Aspen has not been adopted. She was an owner surrender in Georgia that was transported here to Upstate New York for a better life. 🥰
In Aspen's previous family, she was "too much" for their older lab, so they decided to give her up. Since coming to BCHS, Aspen has been the one in playgroups that is more laid back! She plays with the younger dogs but will often look at staff with the "Okay, I'm done" look. Her best fit would be in a household with a medium-energy dog she can play with, as she is easier going. Aspen is smart as a whip. She is housetrained, knows commands, and is good on her leash. Aspen has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is said to do well with kids, cats, and dogs. Aspen is truly a wonderful and sweet dog. She would make a great companion to anyone who loves labs or has room in their heart for a sweet girl. 💖🐾

Can we get a rescue to help this cute pup out?

We need you friends! Riley is last call at a shelter near Rochester. He is about 2 years old. He has had a pretty crappy life so far. His owner was evicted & surrendered him to the shelter. He was adopted but returned because that person couldn’t handle the responsibilities of dog ownership. He was adopted again but this person kept putting Riley in situations that overwhelmed him & he nipped someone causing a superficial wound. Riley was again returned to the shelter & is rescue only due to the nipping incident.

Riley is awesome. He is playful, energetic & looks to his handler for confidence. He shouldn’t be placed in situations that make him uncomfortable. He is dog selective but those that he gets along with he loves to play rough and rowdy.

We aren’t in a position to take Riley due to lack of fosters & funds, so we are asking that you please share Riley to other rescues…he has until this Friday.

Any rescue that can help Riley can message us & we will put them on touch with our shelter contact.

Let’s show Riley humans don’t suck and get him into rescue!!
