I remember our first phone call with this family and this sweet Great Dane named Royal! We decided on private lessons and I remember our first 2 lessons with them. Very sweet girl but was very unsure of a few things where her tail would tuck, wouldn’t sit if her life depended on it and recall was spotty. Living on property the owners wanted a reliable recall and wasn’t sure if she’d ever be able to along with some other concerns. It was difficult for mom to push her dog beyond her limits to get her where we knew where she could be. Long story short mom agreed to transition into our 6-week board & train and was paired with our trainer Dua. Within the first two weeks Royal had made huge strides in her training and mom & dad were very impressed. We couldn’t be happier with all the hard work from our trainer Dua, Royal, and her parents trusting the process and sticking with the training! Royal gets to live her best life moving forward! Siphon the rescue #bully and his Mama Melisah! Melisah started out with private lessons with us and did a great job following through with her training. But she felt like she wanted more for Siphon as she was very serious about ensuring Siphon would be a good boy and well socialized so she continued training into our Board & Train Service. Fast forward to 2 years later and Siphon is a regular for Daycare and Overnight Boarding here at Ohana K9 as Melisah is a busy Mama. 🚨 BREAKING NEWS🚨‼️ CATS OUT OF THE BAG‼️It’s been a long time coming. Ohana K9 never imagined growing as much and as fast as we have but we are very humbled from this process. I’ll never forget where I started from but I’m excited to where we’re going. We will finally be moving out of our home into an 8,000 sq/ft indoor facility with 3,100 sq/ft of outdoor space. With more space will come more staff, resources, services, and a bigger family! We will still and always be rooted/grounded in offering the same quality services if not better! This is not our final destination but a stepping stone to where I envision Ohana K9 going. We couldn’t be more excited. With that being said we couldn’t have done it without all our Ohana K9 Family! We can’t thank every single one of you who’ve given us the opportunity to train your beloved pups! We truly, wouldn’t be here without you all! I can’t thank my parents enough for allowing us to turn their beautiful home into a dog training facility. I want to thank all my neighbors for their love and support as they’ve dealt with the increased traffic flow of the neighborhood. What can we say about our Bella! Bella has a special place in all our hearts at Ohana K9. Bella joined us for training at just 7-Weeks old and we immediately knew she was something special. We watched her grow and mature for the first 10-Months of her life as she participated in our Puppy Prodigy Program. Which means we practically raised her the first 10 months of her life. Ohana K9 is literally her second home. She hit every milestone throughout her training program with flying colors. She is such a fast learner and she’d catch on to anything we threw at her. But it’s not the obedience that was important throughout the training program although she caught on so quick. It was all the socializing, exposure, desensitizing, building confidence, addressing anxiety, creating structure, boundaries, and expectations. These are the foundation of what makes Bella, Bella. Her owner @maksmaaksphoto has been an amazing owner and has kept up with the training and continues to push their limits as a duo. They’re a great team and he’s a committed owner who’s made adjustments in his lifestyle to include Bella in it. Bella has been a walking billboard for us at Ohana K9 as we get calls from people in different towns, cities, and even states. All because Bella is able to travel with Maks wherever he decides to take her because she is so well behaved. Having a trained dog is a lifestyle; having an untrained dog is also a lifestyle.
