On March 12th we drove up from Florida to North Carolina to bring this boy for training. The ride here was interesting to say the least as Marlo wouldnât really settle and we had to stop at every rest area. That being said, it was a very happy day because Marloâs getting trained meant he would not be euthanized.
Today we are here in NC on our trip to pick him up and take him home and this was a little moment of one of our many car rides... heâs in the back, by himself, behaving perfectly.
For all of you who donated to help get this boy training, THANK YOU SO MUCH. You all have helped save his life. We will keep this page alive by posting Marloâs conquers!
To the crew @Black Crown - Premier Pet Services, thank you so much! Your training has made a new life possible for Marlo.
Marlo Relax
Marlo loves to get rubbed and brushed... after a food search, he was soaking up the rubs to relax.
So today Marlo had some pretty cool activities. First he went for a walk around the property (one full circle), then I went in to prepare his breakfast while Klenisson Brenner kept him busy . His breakfast was divided in seven little portions that I put on pieces of cardboard (so he wouldnât see the bowl and have to depend only on his nose). He found four incredibly fast and then lost focus, which is normal since this is something new. We let him rest a bit and then helped him refocus. Thatâs when he found the other 3.... and We were soooo proud! Marlo boy has an amazing sniffer!
After his breakfast we went to pick up some trash in a path we found (Marlo helping clean up our world!), so Marlo got to enjoy the car ride and the little hike.
When we got back Marlo boy got a bath and went on to enjoy a bone he got from his friend Charles đ.
Marlo search
While Marlo was in his kennel Debora De Medeiros was out of sight hiding food outback around the yard. When she took him out for a walk was on the search to find the food. The video doesn't stay for the other two findings but he did really good streamlining to find the first one
Good boy
Marlo loves his treats and his commited handlers... We love him too.
TLC for Marlo
Check out our handsome Marlo...
Marlo was getting some nice grooming, which he was just soaking up. Marlo's team has used a solution of water and vinegar spray to deter any mouthy behavior. It is very unusual that the team has to use it, as Marlo is learning how to interact and channel his energy. We have taken precautions to spray objects he is housed with in case he gets "bored" and wants to gnaw on something.
He is making great progress.
Marlo needs an adopter, an active person or couple, that is willing to follow through on dog training, that will be paid for!
He will be eligible to go to training at the beginning of Feb. IF he has an adopter! The adopter will get training as well, following Marlo's personal training. This boy is smart and so full of love.
Please share him!!!!
