** WHAT TO EXPECT **
After you reach out to me to schedule your appointment, I will get you in my books for a 30-minute nail trim (per pet), which will be done in the comfort of your own home. I can accommodate most scheduling requests, but I typically like to book my appointments close to each other since I do not charge travel fees. However, I am willing to work with you and am available on weekends as well as most weekdays. In order to book with me, I need your first and last name, your pet/s name/s, your address and phone number and any information on your pet/s that may be helpful to me. For example, if they have a sore leg, bad back or a painful medical condition so I can avoid causing any discomfort during their trim. If you think your pet may need an extra long appointment just let me know and I will accommodate you. You can also send me a photo of your pet’s paws and we can figure out how much time to block off for your appointment. I bring all my own equipment and do not charge extra for muzzle or cone use. If I think your pet may need a little extra restraint I will let you know and guide you on how best to assist in making their appointment comfortable. I also clean up after myself and may ask to use your sink or utilize your trash can for any fur or nail trimmings. I currently do not charge cancellation fees, but I will remove you from my client list if you no-call/no-show to your appointment. If you are unavailable just let me know and we can reschedule.
** PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: **
Nail trims appointments typically take about 15 minutes but it really depends on how much Dremel work is needed AND the pet’s willingness to sit still for me. Pawdicures can take anywhere from 20-30 minutes. I like to schedule my nail trim appointments in 30 minute blocks just in case your pet is a bit wiggly or nervous about me trimming their nails. I try my best to work alone but nail-trims can be scary and sometimes uncomfortable for pets. If your pet cannot remain still for his or her trim I may require your assistance to hold or distract them while I work. For most pets, having you hug on them is comforting enough for us to get through the trim with no issue. However, for the safety of all involved I provide muzzles and/or cones at no additional cost to you. Safety and comfort are my two main priorities and treats are always provided!! Dogs or cats with overgrown nails or very long quicks (the blood vessels inside the toenails) may require longer appointments to trim the nails as safely and comfortably as possible. If you send me pictures we can work together to schedule enough time to meet your pet’s individual needs (judgement-free!). I do not charge extra for longer appointments or overgrown nails, but please note that it’s difficult to gauge exactly how long each appointment will take. While I try to handle all cats as gently as possible, sometimes gentle scruffing helps to immobilize the feisty ones. I am trained to do this in a way that is painless and non-restrictive for cats. It also allows me to knock out the nail trim really quickly to minimize stress. Gentle scruffing is usually a last result, but if you are uncomfortable with it we can discuss how you can help hold for a scruff-free and safe nail-trim experience.
