Might as well take advantage of this warmer weather! Laid a last second practice track so I could try the camera mount on beau. I angled it to far down. Next time I should have it right. I’ll post some practice videos here and there at some point in time. goal is to perfect it so I can video this years tracks!

Beau doin what he does best.. help making memories! Calls have slowed down a lot! Only one call today.. but also one deer on the tailgate. Shot this morning and only able to track 100 yards. Beau came out and made quick work for this hunters beautiful birthday buck. Congrats to the hunter and a BIG happy birthday!

26 hours after shot and rain last night that washed every visual confirmation away didn’t stop beau from putting this buck on the tailgate tonight!
Found one deer and one gut pile that was supposed to be inside the deer we were tracking. This is the second time in the last week for us.. Fortunately for the hunter the exact person who took the deer is known this time and DNR is involved… just an FYI it is not legal to take/tag anyone else’s kill but your own.!

First track for today I wasn’t around for the recovery because property permission was needed. I sent them a pin of where the deer was and they were able to walk right to it! Second track we were able to maintain property permissions! Two deer needed to be bayed up and two deer recovered! 🙌
This is why you don’t track a deer you know was shot back right away. hunter gut shot lastnight and backed right out. He sent me a picture of arrow to confirm it was gut shot. I told him to stay out of the woods till morning and that I couldn’t be there until later in the afternoon after work. Also told him as long as he for sure backed right out and didn’t go bump the deer hed likely be able to go find his deer himself the next morning. He opted to wait for me to get out of work. 22 hours after shot and about 450 yards later with only a 12 foot section of blood we were on his buck that he might not have found without a dog. body was still warm and rigimortise was barley set in. Track to soon and jump your deer you may never see it again especially if u don’t have neighboring property permission to track. Hunter did everything correct and was rewarded for it!

Much needed 22 hour old gut, intestinal shot that was grid searched for hourss. Beau said “what grid search??”Couldn’t imagine his neck durring rut! Thanks to Brian Dagen for trusting our team with one of his top clients
Calls havnt been hot and heavy yet this year.. But weve been able to put a couple more on tailgates.
Got the pleasure of helping Check off some firsts. it was her first time hunting and I was able to find her first buck and was also first time using a tracking dog. 💪 good way to end the night. Memories made!
It’s that time of year! we are ready for tracking season! the excitement to sit in the woods along with tracking is boiling over. Anytime youre having troubles advancing a track back out and give me a call/text. Matt Carlson with Tag-Out Deer Recovery running Baylee along with myself running beau and renegade ran a couple practice tracks aged at the 20 hour mark. All 3 dogs found their target in todays dry and windy conditions without issue.We are ready and overly excited for youth season!! Network strong! 💪

Representing toddler life along with a hound having tracking withdrawals. 🫣
This practice track was inspired by watching a UBT 3 track last weekend which was dominated by the handler and pup! Incorporating a star pattern and a swirl type pattern to make the dog really have to work to find the direction the track continues on to. I did 2 stars one swirl and a back track along with aging it for 6 hours and beau nailed it! Ran renegade an hour afterwards he also nailed it with more of a direct route and less searching then beau. I’m super excited for this years hunting/tracking season! Both dogs are making me proud on the off season practice tracks.
Added a new pup to the team. Doesn’t have a name yet. next years hunting season training starts now for this guy!
The only things that really gets him excited are the wife and I coming home after work and also seeing his harness
