Season’s Greetings Farm Friends! As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, it’s always a time to reflect and express our gratitude for another great year here on the farm. As our fourth year of business ends, we have tried to remain focused on growing great pesticide free produce and creating an environment where anyone can come and learn about sustainable/no-till farming. We have always felt that growing clean food was our number one priority and have tried to remain true to that mission statement. As with any business, there are going to be ups and downs, but the success of our farm is a testament to the incredible community that we are so fortunate to be surrounded by. From the very beginning the outpouring of support and encouragement that we have received has helped us stay focused on our path as we seek to improve not only our products but our processes as well. Your continued commitment proves that the local food movement is alive and well in our neck of the woods and we are ever so grateful!

We are also so grateful that we have seen so many of you purchasing your produce from other farmers and at the local farmers markets. Over the last year we have had the pleasure of meeting many new local farmers and the amount and selection of wonderful, fresh produce has never been better. It’s always important to have variety in your local food options and there are several farms that grow wonderful produce within just a few miles of our farm in Choctaw. This wonderful assortment of produce in our community allows all of us to eat great local foods from farms that you can actually visit and meet the incredible families growing these products. And it’s not just produce, there are just as many new bakers and producers bringing loads of wonderful products to these markets as well. Fresh bread, delicious pastries, candies, jams, savory canned goods and so much more! It seems that every week during market season, there are so many delicious items to choose from that it’s a true culinary adventure! And it’s the support from our community that makes all that possible, without you spending your hard-earned money with these local folks, none of this would be possible.

Shopping at all our wonderful farmers markets help keep our food sources fresher and the variety of choices endless. This last year we have seen so many new markets open in many of our local communities. Where years before you might have only one farmers' market to shop at, now there are several within just a few miles of many of our neighborhoods. Our farm thanks the markets at Choctaw Creek and Nicoma Park for giving us an opportunity to showcase our produce in a venue that encourages the local community to attend. Today, there are markets in Choctaw, Nicoma Park, Harrah and Mcloud as well as the Wheeler district and Eastside Market just to name a few in our area. And these markets are on various days of the week so one can always pickup something fresh and local. This network of markets can only exist when there are enough people like you who are willing to take the time and effort to support their local farms and businesses. So, thank you again for supporting your local farmers, ranchers and business entrepreneurs!

Earlier this year we were so grateful to receive a substantial grant to teach no-till methods and utilize our farm for educating others about running a successful sustainable farm enterprise. This grant allows us to increase the produce growing areas of the farm which will increase the quantity of fresh vegetables we can provide our community. The grant also allows us to build another high tunnel and will add numerous native and medicinal plants to our gardens and hedgerows. These plants will help with our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and add another layer of beauty and resource utilization for our farm. None of that would have happened had it not been for all the great folks who come by each day and shop at our farm. The daily outpouring of support that we receive is so humbling we are beyond grateful. Thank you again for encouraging us to continue the search for new ways to serve our community and to work towards a hands-on teaching environment.

And for me personally this year, I am so grateful to have received a scholarship to the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and will soon begin a wonderful new journey. I have wanted to take these classes FOREVER but could never afford the tuition. Again, if it wasn’t for the joyful encouragement I have received from this community, I would have never even applied for the scholarship. You may not truly appreciate the power of your kind words on this humble farmer but know that a more focused student you will not find.

As you can see, this Thanksgiving we have so very much to be thankful for and it’s all because of this wonderful community that so graciously supports so many of its local farmers, ranchers and business entrepreneurs. So, to each of you that has ever purchased any item, from any farmer, rancher, business entrepreneur, local restaurant or food truck a giant THANK YOU!!!!! Your support means everything to a small business!!!

Happy Holidays and may the New Year bring joy and happiness to you and your family!

Hey farm friends! The increase in sales of our very cool T-shirts has created a problem for us ... I need to heat set the dyes and I only have 2 crock pots to work with so we're looking for any old crock pots that y'all aren't using but may be willing to donate to the farm. We will gladly exchange each crock pot for a head of our delicious lettuce or a $5 discount on a shirt of your choice!

Welcome to our family farm...

We are a small, family owned farm located in Choctaw Oklahoma featuring farm fresh produce and medicinal herbs using regenerative, no till farming practices. We use only natural processes to improve the soil and plant health, focusing on soil regeneration.

We have recently moved back to Oklahoma from California where we ran a sustainable landscaping business that focused on installing urban food forests. We worked with various groups and non-profits to install these edible gardens for families all over Solano County, CA. We also taught classes on soil health, water conservation, composting and grey water installation.

We decided to move back home to restart our family farm and are scheduled to open for sales to the public in the spring of 2020. We will also be offering classes on soil health, water conservation and growing urban food forests. Classes will start in the fall of 2019 in preparation for the spring planting season.

Please join us as we start this new adventure!
