Praying this is the last returned animal we receive in 2024, we have received more animals back to us than ever before and it's been super tough... But it's not only tough on us, it's tough for the animal as well. After picking Rogue up, he just kept watching out his window seemingly looking for his owner until I comforted him and got him in my lap. Rogue was adopted as a puppy at 8 weeks old and came from his mother Juno who was 1 of 20+ dogs we rescued from a cotton field in 2023 that had been dumped in the hottest part of summer. We covered all of his vetting, we are actually STILL paying off our 2024 vet bills from having over 30 dogs fixed+ additional surgeries this year which has been a big struggle to get paid off with all of our other expenses weighing us down constantly. (If you'd like to make a donation to our vet bill please call them in to Temple Veterinary Hospital and Surgical Center 🙏)
So why was this adorable guy returned....
Rogue bit his owner trying to bite at her granddaughter that was running over to her. Yes, there are ways to fix the situation but the owner wanted to return Rogue to us instead which I am not going to fight. Rogue is a handsome little dude, definitely top tier lap dog quality. He is terrified of everything currently as he left here at 8 weeks and did not experience a lot of farm life, he is territorial over his food/toys and I was told he would have fights with her other small dog. Rogue would be great as a lap companion to someone with no other dogs as it could be jealousy. He has some big adjusting to do here since we have several dogs and lots of animals. If you are interested in potentially adopting Rogue, please message us. We are still in Temple Texas currently.

Please THINK before you BUY, especially when there is a LIFE DEPENDING ON IT.

Please remember that living creatures should not be thought of as gifts this .

So much preparation, research and years of dedication go into sharing your home with an animal.

Do not contribute to already overwhelmed rescues and shelters by ‘gifting’ any animal to someone who may be unprepared and unwilling to care for them for years to come.

Rodents may be seen as low maintenance pets who do not live very long and are therefore less commitment. But this is FAR from true.

Here, you can see the average lifespan for a range of rodents. Some of which may live even longer than stated here.

We must put an end to a culture that treats animals as items, as gifts, and see them as the living creatures they are, deserving of , and homes only.

Central Texas, are y'all looking for a super special Christmas memory to end 2024?🎄✨🦌
How would an incredibly special Christmas visit from our sanctuary pet; Daphne the Fallow Deer and her pal Brock the Bunny sound? We are offering very limited Christmas visits to help us raise money for our new sanctuary property we are currently preparing for the rescues animals to move to. These visits are 20 minutes long for a $100 donation to locations less than 25miles radius, (further locations may acquire a small travel fee.) We will be offering these Dec 23, Dec 24 & Christmas Day. If you are interested in booking, please message us the address, date and preferred time you are interested in to see if we are still available.

No, we aren't letting our truck dying take us out!
We were able to rent a van to make another trip out to our new property and take more fencing/animal supplies out. Champ, our disabled lamb, made the trip out with us and gets to be our first disabled baby to put his tiny hooves on OUR new Tiny Hooves Sanctuary property which is super beautiful. We also enjoyed seeing the wild ducks enjoying the water at the end of our property in the playa lake, lots of wildlife here which we love. Champ accompanied us while we marked out a few enclosures we want to get done soon and measure out how much in materials we will need to continue fundraising and preparing.
This incredible old Santa Fe train car was being given away that we are getting quotes to have moved a short 25ish miles to it's final resting place at our sanctuary so we can turn it into a shelter for some of our rescue pets. We are still fundraising for the 2 silos, fencing rolls & pipe as well- lots of funds needing to make this 62 acre property a HOME for our almost 200 rescue pets and we appreciate every single one of you who like, share, comment, donate & pray for us to be successful in this huge journey. THANK Y'ALL ❤️🎄
(Also if you've messaged me and I have not replied, please message me again- I have been beyond busy. We are still booking mobile petting zoos in central tx until March)

Do you need a feel good story?
This is Wednesday; the heeler with a big smile on her face! Wednesday was dumped in our pasture 1.5 years ago. She was a sweet girl who was adopted quickly...
But after being adopted, Wednesday was found dodging traffic and her first adopter ghosting us and not wanting to reclaim her.... We were absolutely furious over the situation and so sad Wednesday experienced such a trauma again so soon... Wednesday came back to us again and we told her story and were able to find the PERFECT HOME. The Bell Family reached out and were ready to give Wednesday a loving forever home with their current heeler who needed a friend! Now, with any new rescue dog, there can be obstacles to overcome, especially when adopting a dog with trauma. Wednesday had torn up their laundry room door and wall shortly after adoption, but the Bell Family didn't let that deter them from loving sweet Wednesday.
Now, it's almost been ONE full year of the Bell Family having and loving sweet Wednesday and looking how beautiful the bond is!!!!! That big smile in the photo shows you how happy and loved Wednesday is!! This is proof that love and dedication can make a huge difference, it sure did for sweet Wednesday! 💕 Please consider giving a rescue pet a chance! We are so grateful for our amazing adopters that give everything to the pets they adopt 🥰

🐷Available for adoption🐽
This sweet little ham is looking for a loving forever home. Penelope has been with a foster family who has completely socialized her! She is litter box trained, walks on a leash and loves attention. Penelope lives with a dog and a little girl whom she does wonderful with! Penelope's mom was a stray that was dumped off here on us, once weaned she went to live with a foster and great friend who has done incredible with her! We can't guarantee Penelope's size as we aren't sure the breed of parents, mini pigs usually average 150-250lbs if not over fed. They could be smaller, could be larger- I can't predict unfortunately. I do know for a fact that Penelope will bring you so much love and joy though!! Currently Penelope is in Temple TX, please message us for more information and to start the adoption process if you are seriously interested in adopting little Penelope!

We are trying to purchase 2 of these 20ft grain silos!
I have been trying to find cost effective ways to build heavy duty shelters at our new sanctuary property so we can get the animals moved in a couple of months. Every option is so expensive...But we found an option that can work and is extremely reasonable compared to others!
These grain silos can be put together in halves so instead of 2 big silos, we have 4 smaller silos! We just have to add roofs to the 2 halves which is no problem. I drew an example on the photo to give y'all a visual of the idea, I promise it will be straight when we build it 😂. This would guarantee 4 pastures adequate shelter in the case of any bad weather which is our goal!
Both silos together are $3340 together delivered desembled to our new property. (If you look these up, that's a pretty good deal as they are delivering them 1.5hrs to us in Happy Tx).
We plan to put concrete as the base and will be adding additional anchors to protect against high wind weather. Eventually as funds allow we can add awnings to these shelters so these pastures also have plenty of shade structure as well to protect them from the sweltering summers!
Steven is planning on moving to the new property in a few weeks when we get the power turned on to stay onsite so he can start building fence and getting the property ready for the animals. Please consider making a tax deductible donation so we can have all the materials there for him to start getting this work done! I will stay here to take care of the animals until the new place is ready for them to all be moved. We are hoping to move them in Feb/March when the weather is fair to be less stressful on the animals as it is a 7 hour journey to there forever new sanctuary home! Also keep in mind our truck threw a rod on our last trip so we are down to 1 vehicle and will be renting a vehicle to go back and forth. Lots of expenses and we sincerely appreciate everyone helping our nonprofit grow it's new spacious 62 acre sanctuary property!! Thank y'all in advance for helping us make this happen for the animals, we can't do it without y'all's support.
You can also donate using Venmo, CashApp or PayPal here: Linktr.ee/TinyHoovesRescue
(Please message us for our mailing address)
If you'd like to sponsor our new property please message us!
You can also send someone a Christmas Gift as a Sponsor and we will send you a printed photo of our Homestead Cabin on our new property!

Last night we worked our only Christmas party we were booked for this year. The party was for Meta which was pretty cool. We got to meet so many of the people that make sure Facebook, Instagram and so many other Meta apps run and work properly along with their guests. Everyone was so kind, wanted to know about the animals stories and fully engaged with the experience. We were on the 24th floor looking over Austin and it was breathtaking how pretty all of the lights were. Something us farm folks don't see often, especially at Christmas with all of the extra decorations. I unfortunately was so busy I only grabbed a couple photos of our sweet Lolly looking out enjoying the view.
Lolly is the tiny babe that came from an emergency c-section early this year by a little goat we had rescued. Lolly was the only survivor and was raised here with us. She is quite the character and definitely made LOTS of new friends and fans last night as Santa Goat, despite trying to steal multiple alcoholic beverages which seemed to make people love her more. She was a hit, all of the babies were! The animals were the highlight of the party we were told several times which is always an amazing feeling. 💖🎄

Our Journey

My name is Shelby Michalewicz and I am the owner of the Tiny Hooves Rescue farm with my Husband, Steven, and our Son, Re*****on.

We have dedicated our lives and property to taking care of animals that are injured, disabled, orphaned, surrendered and discarded.

After a car accident in high school I lost most of my short term and long term memory due to my injuries. I never quite understood how serious it was until I was in college following my dreams of becoming a veterinarian. I could study for weeks and when a test came, I just could not recall the information I had just spent so much time learning... I ended up dropping out of college after a year. I was so disappointed in myself and wondered what was next. So....I prayed, and prayed...

I met my husband in 2014 and moved back to my families farm in 2015 to fix it up as I continued to ask God to give me a purpose... Our son Re*****on was born in September of 2015 and God finally had answered my prayers. God then led people to start calling and bringing me animals in need, and it got to the point to where I was not only a stay at home mother to my human child, but also several animals that needed my help to be happy and healthy again.
