Do you hear that?
No?
Me neither!
That's the sound of a reward-trained barkless kennel!
Quiet kennels help dogs feel more relaxed, less stressed, and take more restful naps between play sessions!
Do you think your dog would benefit from a barkless kennel experience?

Management in action!
Sometimes you just can’t train and that’s okay! Recognizing when to use management and when to train is one of the most important skills to have when you’re working with your dog. It’s okay to manage a situation temporarily and even permanently! If you don’t think you can trust your dog to be off leash, then using a leash or a long line is a form of management.
Also, that “Ooh” is literally all I said after the failed recall. To put them back on leash, I just walked up to them and clipped on the leash without making any type of show. The last thing I want is for them to think that when I walk up to them, they are going to be scolded. It’ll make them less likely to let me approach in the future.

✨We even train on vacation! ✨
Since we were going to a new place and not sure how many dogs/wild animals we would encounter, we made sure to show up prepared and it paid off! We had a great hike and our dogs were perfect!
🐶 🦴Bringing treats on a walk doesn’t mean your dog isn’t trained, it means that you are prepared to show up for your dog in case you encounter a moment that they need your support!
I would like to be able to cue my dogs individually so to train that, I came up with this little leapfrog training game! They both really liked it and we had a lot of improvement in just 10 minutes of training! Try it out and let me know what you thought!
Also, I can apparently spot a glint in Tucker’s eye that says he won’t stay because theres a moment where I give way too many stay commands and he breaks anyway haha. It happens, we aren’t perfect.

Someone was tired of me working and wanted attention! She’s such a vocal dog. She literally has something to say about everything!

NEVER let your children do this! This is a bite waiting to happen! Do not allow young children to behave this way around dogs and if they are too young to understand, you need to keep them separate.
Here you can see the baby hovering over the dog while he’s sleeping and when he wakes up, he gets smacked in the face. The dog responds with nervous signals by looking away and yawning.
If these signals get ignored often enough, many dogs resort to growling and biting which endangers the child and puts the dog at risk of euthanasia.
Keep your dog and your children safe! If your child isn’t old enough to understand how to be safe around dogs, then they shouldn’t be able to interact with them in this way.

Here’s how you can easily get your dog to take pills stuck in treats! You’ll want to have some really tasty treats like ham or cheese and have 3 regular pieces and 1 with the medicine. Then give them all 4 in a row in this order: Treat-treat-medicine-treat. By immediately showing your dog the next treat, they hurry up and swallow the one they have to get the next one. You can see a moment where he realizes its medicine but I hurry and show him the next one and he swallows right away. It turns med time into a easy and fun experience for you both! #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #bordercolliesofinstagram #dogtraininghack
