BLITZ ADOPTION IS PENDING 🤩

Hey y’all!! Meet Blitz 🐾 Our 5-month-old foster puppy is searching for his perfect forever home! Blitz is believed to be a Belgian Malinois (no DNA testing has been done). Belgians are an amazing breed—extremely loyal and intelligent—but they do require an experienced and active owner. Known as the “Maligator,” they’re an energetic and mouthy breed. However, Blitz is more laid-back than most Malinois we’ve worked with. He still has all the wonderful traits of the breed but also LOVES to snuggle and chill out on a lap.

Blitz is doing great in our basic obedience program, and we’ll provide three additional training lessons to his adopter to help maintain his progress. He’s excelling in potty training, is kennel-trained, and plays well with other dogs. Blitz is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

We’ve worked hard to socialize Blitz—taking him to stores, restaurants, baseball games, and even exposing him to farm animals and reactive dogs. He’s been phenomenal in all situations.

Blitz would thrive with someone familiar with the Belgian Malinois breed who can keep up with his intelligence and energy. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out to set up a meet-and-greet. You can text us at 512-621-4156.

💡 ✨ Wednesday Wisdom! ✨💡

People often ask, “how soon after I get a puppy do I begin training?” and my answer is “as soon as you bring your pup home”. You see everything we do with our dog from the first day, we are either allowing good behavior or bad behavior. If my puppy is jumping on me for attention and it’s just soooooooo cute, so I just have to shower her with attention, then I’m rewarding her for jumping and unknowingly encouraging it. If my puppy is left unsupervised and chewing up stuff, I’m allowing that behavior. If my puppy drinks a bunch of water and then goes off into the next room unsupervised and pees, I’ve allowed that. Providing structure from the very beginning, setting up boundaries will set your pup up for success! Remember…𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕠𝕨 𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕦𝕖!
