Petite Pablo
This special boy came into rescue in January of 2022 as a 6mo. puppy.
He has not found his forever home yet.
Petite is a goofy sweetheart. We are currently looking for a care taker for Sweet Pete. This little smoothie has not had the easiest life. Even with lots and lots of love by the CSBR family. This poor guy has been through surgery to repair his jaw. Unknown if it was the result of a puppy trauma, or just a wierd formed jaw.
Petite is a "Permanent Foster" through CSBR. This means that the rescue will continue his medical care. His permanent foster family will feed him and give him lots of attention. Petite is a little bit of an attention seeker. But if you love interacting with dogs, it's a great thing. Petite is dog friendly. He likes to play. He has played a little to energetically with one of his shy female foster sisters. But it was not aggressive. We need a new spot for Pablito by the end of November. Who would like to love this forever puppy?
Comment or message us for more information. Application's to foster ,can be found at www.gotdrool.org

October and November have been brutal on so many hearts. We here at CSBR feel all of your losses. As rescuers we become attached to our rescues adopters, fosters and their families. It goes without saying,, that there is a lot of emotional weight we carry when it comes to the love and loss of a dog. For the most part, we manage to cope with loss, by bringing new life into the fold. We have several foster needs right now. And a lot of panic about what to do with these dogs. Some situations are temporary. Some are in need of regular foster. As the foster coordinator, my focus is on giving people appropriate dogs, based on what I know about dog and foster.
Admittedly ,I was much better at my position as coordinator a few years ago. Currently ,rescue is a full time volunteer position for me. And I am working as hard as I can to dig myself out of a hole. Fosters can help me get out. What I am asking for are Fosters who can give a dog a little time and patience if needed. They are all good dogs! But just like people, they have different personalities. And may need some time to adjust. If you are currently available to foster. Please comment, or message us for a private conversation.
If you know someone who would be a great foster, please talk to them. Dog free fosters are desperately need for quick worry free placements. This does not mean that the dog needs to be an only dog. It just means that we can quickly place a dog and evaluate. Thank you for your support. We are working extra hard to keep things moving. We are only as good as our resources allow. Remember, we are all CSBR!

Parvo is serious. Please make sure your dogs are up to date on vaccines.

Canine Parvovirus (Parvo) Advisory🚨

The Northglenn Police Department’s Animal Control Unit has been made aware of a Parvo outbreak in Northglenn. Animal Control officers, local veterinarians and shelters are working with pet owners to ensure the affected dogs receive care.

While the investigation continues, we encourage all dog owners to take the following precautions:

Vaccinations:
Ensure your pets are up to date on all vaccines, especially Parvo, which is typically administered as DA2PP/DHPP every three years in adult dogs. By law, dogs and cats must have a current rabies vaccination and proof of vaccination at all times. Avoid letting unvaccinated puppies have contact with other animals or visit areas where many pets frequent until they’ve completed their full vaccination series.

Parvo Symptoms:
Lethargy, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, loss of appetite, rapid weight loss or changes in body temperature. If your dog shows any of these signs, please contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.

Prevention & Cleaning:
Parvo spreads through contact with infected f***s or vomit and can remain on surfaces even after cleanup. Only bleach, when used properly, will kill the virus on contaminated surfaces.

For Questions or Reporting:
Contact your veterinarian for any medical concerns. For non-medical questions, contact Northglenn Animal Control at 303-450-8886 or email [email protected] / [email protected].

If your dog has tested positive for Parvo, please notify Animal Control.

Monday musings with Morti!!

Colorado is Coloradoing this last week! Chilly mornings and beautiful sunny afternoons! I do love a good snuggle on the bed when it’s cold out, even though I don’t generally like to sleep ON the bed at night.

The squirrels are less active in the mornings as well. My foster mom says it’s the chilly weather in the mornings, but I think it’s my increased patrols. We’ve decided to agree to disagree on that 🤷‍♀️

I wanted to invite everyone to bingo on December 7th at Hamburger Mary’s!

Spots are limited! Secure your spot today!

Farewell for now sweet Dixie 🌈
We would like to thank, and send our sympathy to the Mc Roberts family.
In 2021 Dixie found herself in a need to rehome. Dorothy,Jeff and their daughters opened their home and hearts to Dixie. Where she lived out a perfect life full of love. Dixie was known to be full of character. And provided years of fun an entertainment to her family. The Roberts adopted a companion for Dixie from our Little Liquors Litter. Yogi (Merlot) had the best big sister and mentor in Dixie.
Yesterday's vet visit was meant to evaluate Dixie after she had a sudden decline in her health. The Roberts and CSBR made the difficult decision to be kind. And send Dixie to the bridge, while she still had a beautiful smile on her face.
If love was enough to keep this old gal going, she could have lived forever!
Goodbye for now sweet Dixie 🌈
