Introducing the AKC Canine Good Citizen ( CGC) program at Partners in Canine.
CGC classes are designed to teach responsible dog ownership and to ensure your dog has the basic obedience skills and manners in the home, in public places and around other dogs.
This is a great way to have fun with your dog, meet other people who love dogs and strengthen the bond between you and your companion.
There is no age limit, and pure and mixed breeds are welcome.
Classes are on Tuesday evenings 6:00-7:00pm, July 27-August 24th). You must register at [email protected] before the first class. The fee is 125.00. Questions, please feel free to contact Cindy Lester at the email above, or 207-657-6377.

Conformation Handling Classes at Partners in Canine!
Enjoy spending time with your dog and meeting fellow fanciers of the Conformation Dog Show World.
Classes are designed to help you and your dog with ring procedure; learning what technique works best for you and your dog, and have a positive experience. All experience levels are welcome.
The next sessions begin Tuesday evenings, June 8th- June 29th. There are only a few spots left in the 5:30-6:30 classs! two sessions. The fee is 80.00 for four classes. If this is your first time, you must register in advance by contacting Cindy Lester at [email protected].

It took 8 weeks to get through this 5 week session due to weather, but these teams were so fun to work with and we finally made it to the end of the session. Huge progress from beginning to end. Thank you Partners in Canine for the continued use of your facility.

I am planning a five-week confirmation handling class beginning Tuesday January 12 through February 9. The cost is $100. Since class size will be limited to six, I may hold two classes, one from 6-7 and one from 7-8. If you are interested, please indicate your preference in the comments.

Please join me at Paws Applause in Scarborough for 5 weeks of fun, basic obedience and good manners. Classes are scheduled to start January 25 – February 29. No class February 1st so that you and your furry friends can come to Paws Applause for a professional Valentine’s photoshoot.
Class Information:

We will meet Saturdays from 1:00pm-2:00pm. There will be 45 minutes of training and 15 minutes for questions and a little socialization.

You and your dog are a team, and together with positive energy and good treats, we will be working on sit, down, stay and come.

I suggest you come to class with the following:
a. A four-foot leash with collar. If you prefer using a harness, please select a walking style an not the no-pull style.
b. Clothing with an easy access pocket (for treats) or a bait pouch.
c. Good treats! Food or a favorite toy will be used as encouragement and reward. It must be a “High Value”.

I will make suggestions the first class and have some samples.
