Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY: Directs plans and coordinates activities of the production maintenance department (corrective & preventive) including spare part storeroom to increase productivity and availability of company equipment. Promotes the professional competence within the department through the direct supervision of daily activities, training, and support. • Follows and supports all Company Safety policies and procedures
• Takes all actions and necessary steps to deliver quality product to our customer.
• Responsible for direct supervision and coaching of all personnel assigned to production maintenance department
• Responsible for recording attendance, performance reviews/skill matrix, and disciplinary action of maintenance personnel as necessary.
• Responsible for all maintenance activities (emergency, preventive, corrective) on production equipment and the facility
• Responsible for developing and improving necessary maintenance processes
• Must be able to effectively communicate with internal customers (Other departments / employees) as well as external customers (Suppliers).
• Forecast operating costs of the department
• Ensures performance metrics and goals are met and action plans implemented. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Responsible for department trainings, including training plans for technical and non-technical know-how
• Leads / Supports continuous improvement projects such as Waste Reduction, Downtime Reduction
• Creates and implements high performance work teams to drive and support manufacturing philosophies such as lean manufacturing, six sigma and best practice principals and kaizen.
• Supports projects for new business or upgrades, including budget and timing tracking.
• Maintains established housekeeping standards for responsible area

• Provide support with raw materials supplier qualification audits
• Provide support during a critical issue product performance investigation
• Provide support to the management of a root cause analysis of a Non-conformance materials investigation process.

Procurement Buyer-Animal Proteins

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the purchasing of animal proteins through the approved supply base to support the manufacturing of Saturn Petcare Petfood. Analyzes the animal proteins and supply base to develop high-quality, cost competitive strategies to support the company objectives.

Direct responsibility for negotiation, creation of purchase contracts and releases and supplier on-time compliance. This will be done utilizing SAP and in accordance with Saturn Petcare business processes and standards.

Execute procurement strategies and keep system data up to date

Use SAP based purchasing tools to procure animal protein needs
Provide forecasts to suppliers and communicate frequently basis with approved suppliers
Maintain accurate pricing, terms, and conditions for purchase orders
Communicate with suppliers and maintain data accuracy within SAP
Verify three-way Invoice matching to process invoices and discrepancies
Work closely with production, quality and research & development as needed to ensure high quality materials are available to support the current and future processes.
Partner with Sales & Marketing departments to understand product demand
