Puppy health certificates will be on February 20th with our Veterinarian Dr. Charlie Hutchinson! Puppy pick up’s can be set up for Friday February 21st through Sunday February 23rd. Puppies will have their first Distemper vaccine, deworming, nail trims and a f***l exam done! Puppies will go home with free 30 day Trial of Trupanion.
⭐️ Here are a few important notes for puppy parents!
Everyone will receive an info packet containing this information and more, but were highlighting some key details here:
~Vaccination Schedule: Your Puppy will need a Distemper vaccine at 12 weeks of age for a second distemper vaccine then again at 2 weeks after at 14-15 weeks for their Rabies vaccination. Rabies is required between 12-16 weeks, depending on your state laws. Other than that, don't over-vaccinate!
~Spay/Neuter: Don't spay or neuter too young! This is crucial because doing so too early can interfere with their natural hormone development, which is important for proper bone and muscle growth.
Females: After their first heat (depends on when they have it) usually 8 months-2 years) if the 1st heat is before 1 year old wait until after 2nd heat.
Males: At least one year old, but waiting up to two years is ideal.
~Feeding: We feed Open Farm Ancient Grains Venison (great for sensitive tummies). We feed 3x a day and include 1/2 tsp of Greek Yogurt twice daily. We love the ingredients of this recipe!
