🚨Milton: Tall, Lean, and Built Like a Love-Fueled Freight Train🚨

At just 1.5 years old and around 50 pounds of tall, athletic chaos, Milton is a Boxer–Cane Corso–Mastiff mix with the energy of a frat party and the soul of a Golden Retriever. He's currently living his best life in foster.. where he’s learning how to channel his enthusiasm into manners instead of momentum.

Milton loves:
🧩 Puzzle feeders (he's smarter than your ex)
🎾 Self-play with his toy stash like a one-dog improv show
🐾 Other dogs
👤 His people.. wholeheartedly

He’s doing awesome with positive reinforcement training. During my visit, it took less than a few hours for him to go from vertical launch mode to walking up and sitting politely for pets. This dude learns fast.. which is a blessing and a warning. He’ll pick up good habits and bad ones equally as quick, so consistency is a must.

Now.. about the jumping.

Milton has cleared a 6-foot fence. Like, actually cleared it. Not “almost” or “tried” .. he launched, stuck the landing, and stopped at the property line like a gold-medalist with impulse control.

There have been no repeats since that day, but he’s still a track & field risk in new environments, so fenced yards and outdoor supervision are non-negotiable while he settles in.

As for kids?

He loves humans.
But his love language is “full-body linebacker greeting.” So unless your toddler is made of bubble wrap or actively training for varsity football, Milton might be a little much.

Milton isn’t a fixer-upper.. he’s a brilliant dog in progress.
He needs someone who loves to train, has a sense of humor, and doesn’t mind the occasional flying paw of affection.

📍 Located in Littleton, CO
📩 Available for adoption through
🏡 6-ft secure fenced yard required — supervision during transition period
👶 No small kids — he’s a hugger with no brakes
🧠 Smart, affectionate, and very ready for his next chapter

🐾 Meet Gunnie – A Spry, Sassy Aussie Looking for His Next Adventure (and a Cat-Free Couch) 🐾

This is Gunnie, and if you think 9 years old means slowing down, you clearly haven’t seen this guy bouncing around the yard like a pogo stick on a mission. He’s got moves, zoomies, and a whole lotta love left to give.

Gunnie lost both of his beloved humans just weeks apart. 💔 With nowhere for him to go and a shelter intake looming, one of our rescue friends stepped in immediately to save him. He’s currently being fostered in Arvada, where he's adjusting well after such a major upheaval.

Gunnie has been with his original family since he was just 5 weeks old, and for the first time in his life, he’s navigating a brand-new chapter. Despite all the change, he’s showing his resilience and spirit every single day.

🛑 That said.. the cats in his current foster home are not amused. Gunnie’s herding instincts are in full swing, and while he’s doing fine with the dogs, his passion for organizing the cats is a little... too enthusiastic. For everyone’s sake, we’re looking for a cat-free foster or adopter to give him a more peaceful place to land.

💡 Gunnie is:
✅ Sweet, smart, and affectionate
✅ Still full of energy—zoomies and backyard romps are his jam
✅ A dog who knows what he wants and isn’t shy about letting you know
✅ Ready for walks, enrichment, training games, and lots of love

He needs:
🔹 An active home that can offer physical and mental stimulation
🔹 A cat-free environment
🔹 Either a foster willing to give him a safe temporary space, or—better yet—an adopter ready to commit to his next chapter

📍 Located in Arvada, CO and ready to meet his people.

Gunnie has lived a whole life filled with love.. and just because that chapter ended doesn’t mean his story is over. He still has so much joy to give, and we’re determined to help him find the right person or family to share it with.

If you can foster or adopt this special guy, please reach out. His bags are packed (plus a couple squeaky toys) and he’s ready to go.

No eyeballs were harmed in the making of this photo.
Milton just strongly believes in keeping an eye on things. Or… at least carrying one around in his bed like a trophy. 👁️🛏️

Meet Milton – a roughly 1.5-year-old Boxer–Cane Corso–Mastiff mix and full-time chaos goblin in a sleek, thin, larger than life snuggle suit.

He’s got the soul of a teddy bear, the bounce of a kangaroo, and the self-control of a frat boy on Red Bull when he’s hyped. (Spoiler: he can jump 5 feet straight up. From a standstill. We’re not kidding. Potential nose job waiting to happen)

If gravity had a warning label, Milton would ignore it. Fence-jumpers anonymous wasn’t ready for him.

Milton LOVES training. He thrives with positive reinforcement, structure, and someone who gets that he’s a working-breed dude who needs a job.. even if that job is shredding a peanut butter Kong while you work from home. He's currently in foster care, getting daily training and doing amazing with it. He needs someone committed to continuing that momentum.

🧠 He’s smart.
🎾 He’s playful.
🐾 He’s great with other dogs.
💥 He will body-slam you with love if you’re not paying attention.
🚫 Probably not ideal for tiny humans unless they like being used as bowling pins.

Milton came in unsure of people, but he’s made incredible progress. His goofy, lovable personality is shining through now that he feels safe. He loves toys, pets, enrichment feeders, and entertaining himself with his favorite stuffies. He even self-plays like a champ. (Yes, he’s THAT magical.)

He does have some of that “I must protect this house!” energy — he’ll react at the window or at dogs in passing — but the good news? He redirects beautifully and wants to do the right thing. He just needs a human who will help guide him without being a jerk about it.

👉 Milton is available for adoption through and is located in Littleton. If you’re ready to commit to training, laugh daily, and maybe get a black eye from a flying paw of affection… Milton’s your guy.

Let me tell you a story about love, regret, and waking up in a puddle. Repeatedly.

I knew better. I teach better. I tell clients all the time:

“Yes, your dog can be on the couch or sleep in the bed.. just take them outside to potty first if they’re young.”
Because when puppies are young, they don’t always know their body signals yet nor have their bladder walls fully strengthened. And if you skip the potty trip, your couch (or sheets) might become the scene of the crime.

But then came El Jefe.

8 weeks old. Soulful eyes. Sitting quietly behind the kennel bars while his littermates snoozed. Just staring at me like,

“So... am I sleeping with you orrrrrr?”

And because I’m human.. not a robot dog-training overlord.. I caved. He curled up next to me. I melted. He p*ed on me.

Six. Times. While. I. Slept. (What can I say.. I'm a heavy sleeper 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣)

By morning, I was soaked. I had to text my first client and let her know I’d be late.. because I needed to shower since I had been p*ed on all night.

(Her response? “I don’t need to know about your s*x life.” 💀)

No, I wasn’t hauling groceries.
Yes, there are puppies in those bags. (Four to be exact 🤷🏻‍♀️)
No, this is not my first rodeo.

When you foster a litter of unvaccinated land sharks and need to get them from your condo to your Jeep without letting their tiny germ magnets touch the ground.. reusable grocery bags become tactical gear.

This is what “going for a quick vet run” looks like when you're outnumbered four to one but still committed to proper socialization through car rides and coffee shop drive-thrus.
(Puppuccinos may or may not have been taste-tested and flung all over the Jeep windows by the resident dog 😂.)

I’ve fostered more dogs than I can count. Most move on to their forever homes.. and that’s exactly the point. But every now and then, one slips past your defenses, p*es on your soul, and says: “Guess I live here now.”

For me, that was my Shenzi (my late pitbull). And later.. El Jefe.

They weren’t supposed to stay. But now they’re tattooed on my heart and embedded in my furniture.

Moral of the story:
Foster dogs.
Use the bags.
Don’t fight fate.

You could be missing out on your best friend.
And honestly? This is one more reason we should all be using reusable bags.. not just for the planet, but for maximum puppy efficiency. 😎

Alright, fosters.. hit me with your funniest or most unexpected foster moments. The kind that made you laugh, cry, or question your life choices.. or all three at once.

Let's show the world fostering is worth it!

How I Accidentally Ended Up with An El Jefe

So here’s the thing..
I’m a spicy, no-BS, pitbull girl through and through.
I wasn’t looking for a dog.
I wasn’t even looking to foster a dog.
Hell, I wasn’t even looking for love.. especially not the kind that sheds.

But then I saw this one photo on Facebook.
Just one scrappy little face.
And my brain wouldn’t let it go.

After a week of mentally spiraling, I message the rescue like:
“Hi, I’m unwell. Can I foster that dog?” 🤣

They’re like, “Sure, come on out to our kennel in Fort Lupton.”

I showed up expecting one puppy.
Plot twist: FOUR tiny chaos goblins stare at me like I’m their Uber to freedom.

The rescue worker says,
“We’re placing them in pairs.. just pick two.”

And I’m like…
“Ma’am. I am not emotionally equipped to Sophie’s Choice puppies today.”

So I leave.. with four puppies.
Naturally. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I get them home to my condo, where my 100 lb pitbull, Shenzi (the queen of “don’t start none, won’t be none”), is already judging me from across the room like I brought home a raccoon infestation.

I open the door.
The puppies charge in like drunk toddlers on Red Bull.

And one bold little white puppy walks in like he pays bills,
is about to request some closet space, and will be leaving his toothbrush on the bathroom sink.

Then he climbs all over Shenzi.. zero hesitation, zero fear.

She’s grumbling.

He’s thriving.

I just stood there like.
“Oh. You’re that kind of chaos.”

That was the moment I looked at him and jokingly said,
“Okay, El Jefe (which wasn't his name.. at the time).. you make the rules”

And yep…
Turns out, six years later.. joke’s on me.. as I still have him.. and he still goes by that name. 🤣

He picked me.
I never stood a chance.

He checks on me constantly.
Boops my leg on walks like a little TSA agent.
Refuses to cuddle with anyone else.
Watches the front door like it personally betrayed him when I leave.
And even though I never meant to love a nosy little Blue Heeler..
this smart, sensitive, bossy creature became my ride-or-die.

💬 Ever had a dog adopt you before you realized what was happening?

When it's my day off and I'm just trying to exist and mind my own business, but a pitbull has other plans. 🙃

Ah yes, the vicious pitbull in its natural habitat.. pressing his head against you like he’s trying to become one with your soul.

Fear him.
Or don’t.
Because honestly, you’re more likely to drown in slobber than get bitten.

Let’s be real.. if you’re still buying into the pitbull panic, it’s time to unsubscribe from the 90's. These dogs aren’t inherently dangerous. What is dangerous?

• Ignoring training
• Humans
• Promoting fear-based narratives
• And underestimating the power of a good headrest-snuggle combo

At Get Your Sit Together, I don’t waste time judging breeds. I focus on behavior. Structure. Relationship. Because I don’t train based on fear—I train based on facts.

And the facts say? Ollie is a lover, not a fighter.
(And a firm believer that your personal bubble is his personal bubble.)

Practicing leash walking skills (yes, walking, not drag-racing to the nearest distraction) when Atticus discovered this masterpiece and did what any self-aware chaos gremlin would do:

He claimed it.

“YOU ARE AWESOME.”

The sign spoke. He listened. Then sat like he was posing for a book cover titled “I Am the Moment.”

🐾 Leash manners? Better than expected.

🧠 Emotional regulation? Uploading.

🎭 Drama? Only from JC, who is absolutely losing it over how far he’s come (can’t take her nowhere).

Still extra (both Atti & JC 😂). Just... fine-tuning the performance.

Honestly? He’s nailing it better than most emotionally stunted adults. 🤷🏻‍♀️

🦴💜 El Jefe’s Superpower?

Rocking a tie collection that could put most humans to shame. 🦸‍♂️👔

Today’s featured look: a custom superhero bow tie, handmade by the partner of one of my amazing clients. And yes, he knows he looks good.

I don’t say it enough, but I truly have the coolest clients. Y’all aren’t just dog people.. you’re my kind of people. So many of you have become real friends over the years, and the fact that someone thought to make my dog a custom bow tie? That’s next-level kindness (and taste, obviously).

It means a lot to work with folks who aren’t just in it for quick fixes.. they actually give a damn. You’re the kind of humans who show up for your dogs, even when it’s messy or hard or inconvenient. And that kind of thoughtfulness? It trickles down. If you're this sweet to me and El Jefe, I know you’re showing up for your dogs in a big way too.

So cheers to the dog-loving, bow-tie-making, kindness-spreading humans I get to call clients. You make my job easier, my heart full, and El Jefe.. fabulous.
