Yesterday marks 5 years of owning the farm. With chainsaws, tractors, and a backhoe, we cleared 5.13 acres. This was before the rules on who could get a h**p license was even established. We became the 69th licensed h**p farm in Florida, the first Black owned farm to plant and harvest h**p in Florida. As well as a pending grower for one of the new w**d companies in Florida. We are the first Black h**p nursery in Florida, too. We have harvested close to 500 lbs of cannabis over the years, organic at that. We have sold to hundreds of customers. Our products have been used in ten different states, 2 countries, and every single major city in Florida. We are in several news articles advocating for h**p and w**d. We are regulars in Tallahassee fighting to free the plant. We have met millionaires, ex NFL players, ex NBA players, a rock and roll legend, war heroes, and so many more people. While most people have terrible selling h**p, we have trouble growing enough to meet the demands. It has been a journey that keeps getting better every year. Happy 4th year anniversary to our first h**p crop in Florida. We were the first Black h**p farm to plant and harvest in the state of Florida since legalization. In the 1920-40's, most wealthy Black families gain their wealth through farming, in particular, h**p. Next month will mark our 5th year of being a Florida farm in Hawthorne FL. Thank you to all our customers, workers, investors and supporters throughout the years.

We only have 15 spots available for our first, "How to grow cannabis class." This first class is Oct. 12. 4:30pm-7:30pm. The class will be at the farm in Hawthorne FL. A wealth of knowledge on do's and do not's will be shared. This is also a great opportunity to take notes and ask as many questions as you would like.

This class will teach you the basics of how to grow, dry, cure and process cannabis. You will see and touch live plants at our h**p farm.

The governor made it clear that he supports homegrown. It was also made clear that fight is at the legislator level for homegrown. So as I have said many of times and the governor is saying too, homegrown can be done but it is a separate fight. 3 will allow people and businesses to get a license to grow, process or own a dispensary. 3 will give more discretion for patient to buy when they want, up to 3 ounces. 3 will allow for more research for companies like ours who are interested in the medical research and benefits. Very importantly smelling like w**d (Which is currently federal law) will not allow the state to use the smell of w**d as probable cause to search, detain, or arrest you. What do I get from 3? As a Black man, not being in hand cuffs for smelling like a plant. As someone who lost people? I will get an opportunity to create medicine that might not have saved them all but definitely would have given them a higher quality of life.

The seed run is going great. This is not bud, these are seeds. In particular, our own seed strain. I did not spray the seeds to turn them female. So the seeds will be regular seeds. 50/50 or 65/35, male/female. The goal is to hopefully have true males and true females. If so, I can grow new mothers every couple of years after taking thousands of clones. I can take the males and save their pollen too. The seeds usually start white, then turn green and then finally a brownish, grayish color. This is when you know it's time to hang and dry. I believe I have thousands of seeds from this seed run. I am not just a grower and nursery owner but also a breeder.

Still no word from the department of health. Before we can start growing medical Ma*****na we have to receive the award letter from them. This is week 6 of waiting. In the meantime this h**p crop is almost done and we are already crack seeds and cutting clones for the next 2 grows. As a result of the greenhouse we can grow year around.

We are in full flower. Currently we have over 1,100 girls going. We also found 15 males that we plan to use to pollinate 20 or so ladies with. This will cause them to produce seeds which in turn will give us thousands of seeds of our own strain.

5 weeks until we know for sure what the governor is going to do. Our second greenhouse will be here tomorrow. We are trading h**p for it because everyone is on edge when it comes to buy it. The second greenhouse will allow for 3,000 more plants. We are continuing to grow because we would still be allow to sell h**p but the money will be in topicals, lotions, creams and shipping out of state. Leaves will hopefully be pruned next week. At this point its mostly just me. My five helpers have been busy, so I may bring a group out one day just to get everything back in order. The container will be turned into a clone room that will allow 1100 clones at a time. It too needs to be cleaned out. We hope to repair this greenhouse this next week too. We are staying busy and building as we wait for the next move. H**p as it currently is may become illegal even at the federal level. We are banking on growing for one of the FLA w**d license holders. Before Pigford I was told by one of the w**d license holders to get 2 greenhouses and a storage container as a bare minimum setup to contract grow. So that's what I am doing. We are in talks with 4 different license holders currently pending. Including the bill we are waiting to hear on and will know within 5 weeks. Growing for a w**d company we will legally be allowed to grow h**p too.
