Don’t forget that when you’re walking your dog during the warmer months, they don’t have the same protection on their feet that you do! 🌞🐶

Make sure to check the temperature before you head outside. If it’s too hot, keep walks short and stick to grassy areas. Do your best to take long walks during the cooler parts of the day such as early morning or evening. 🌙

Here are the common signs of heat stroke in dogs and how to prevent it. 🐾

Heat stroke, or hyperthermia, happens when your dog’s internal temperature rises above their normal 103°. A temperature of 106° results in heat stroke and anything over 107° can mean organ failure and even death.
