Besides preparing for 4 does to kid starting next week, we're also on baby watch for one of our zebu heifers, Sugar, who is all of 34 inches tall. Cameras going up today...

May 2023 Nubian buck. A.I. Son of Alize Kharm Personified out of line bred My Enchanted Acres and Iron Owl bred dam. This guy is long and leggy with a beautifully blended front, long neck, excellent topline and great breed character. The dam line is known for high, wide attachment, strong medial and will to milk. AQUAGOAT?!! The first time I saw this I couldn't believe my eyes. It seems that Princess has developed a taste for aquatic plants. She just wades into the water without hesitation and cheerfully munches away. Sometimes only her head shows above the water! When she's had enough, she wades back to dry land and scampers off to join her herd mates. No surprise, none of them have offered to join her!

Our 2020 kidding season ended this morning at 2AM with these triplet doelings from Royal Cedar Echo Stardust and sired by XTC XG Marathon. We've had doe years before, but nothing like 2020. This year's total is 7 doelings and 1 buckling!

XTC Ovation's Curtain Call is a 2019 doeling we retained from this year's kid crop. CC is by Ovation and out of an AI daughter of SGCH J&R SPIRIT'S DAKOTA PL***OY (EX90) and out of our herd matriarch Royal Cedars Echo's Stardust (EX90). Photos of this doeling were taken at 3 months of age. She has been a very growthy doe and has only improved with age. She is being bred to XTC XG Marathon (pictured) for 2020 kids. Marathon is sired by XTC Mister X and out of XTC Graffiti (EX90). He is heavily line bred to SGCH Thunder Ridge PS Willow (EX92). Marathon's sire and dam were both some of the best animals we have produced. Knowing what the genetic potential of this young buck could be, we retained him to cross on our Ovation daughters. Even by our own high standards, we believe that Curtain Call is exceptional. We couldn't be more excited about what this cross will produce. And to top it off, Marathon is moonspotted, so these kids may be gift wrapped! :-) Reservations available. Marathon is G6S negative.

XTC XE Exquisite is a 2018 doeling that we retained and carried over as a dry yearling. She is sired by XTC Mister X (line bred to SGCH Thunder Ridge PS Willow EX92) and out of an AI daughter of Wingwood Farms TS Timothy and out of an SG Real Tactition daughter. Photos of Exquisite were taken at 14 months of age. She has continued to mature beautifully. She is being bred to My-Enchanted-Acres LM Ovation for 2020 kids. We're very excited about this cross. 2019 Lineal Appraisal scores are now officially posted on the ADGA Genetics site. At 18 months old, My-Enchanted-Acres LM Ovation scored VG88 (VVE). The appraiser commented several times about how beautifully blended and balanced he is, and how unusual it is to see this in a yearling buck. We couldn't be happier with how he is maturing and look forward to having him scored again next year with another year of maturity. Ovation's 2019 kid crop was his first, and the results were simply outstanding. We're looking forward to seeing what he produces for us in 2020. Ovation will be collected later this month. Limited semen will be offered. G6S Negative.

For your consideration is our last 2019 doeling being offered. Sired by My Enchanted Acres LM Ovation who has sired consistently amazing kids for us this year. Ovation is sired by *B My Enchanted Acres Leading Man (EX91) and out of *8M My Enchanted Acres Mischifmakr (VG89) who is a full sister to Rnboskittles, 2015 National Champiom Jr doe. On the bottom side, this doeling is out of our herd matriarch *2M Royal Cedars Echo Stardust. The pictures of Star show her at age 9, with a mammary that still has an iron attachment. Star scored an EX90 during Lineal Appraisal and peak milk production on test was 18 pounds. This doeling has the potential to be a great open show doe while bringing in amazing genetics that can add beautifully conformed animals that milk heavily. XTC TNR Tsunami *3M (VG87) is a 2012 doe and a permanent resident of our herd. Sired by *B My Enchanted Acres Thndrnreigh (VG89) who was by a Lassenwood Zhivago Zen son, My Enchanted Acres Zen's Reign (EX90) and was out of SGCH Thunder-Ridge PS Willow (EX92). Willow was awarded lifetime production awards for volume and butterfat at the 2015 National Show in Redmond Oregon. Tsunami's dam is Royal Cedars Echo Stardust, (EX90) who peaked at 18 pounds on Test. Tsunami has a natural elegance that combines with her correct conformation and strong will to milk. She has been an outstanding producer for us, and has crossed well with any buck we've put to her. While not reaching the amazing production of her dam, she has peaked at 12 pounds on test. Last year we added a new buck to our herd. Introducing My Enchanted Acres LM Ovation. This outstanding young buck is sired by My Enchanted Acres Leading Man (EX91) who is sired by SGCH J&R Spirit's Dakota Pl***oy (EX90) and out of SGCH Thunder-Ridge PS Willow (EX92). Ovation's dam is My Enchanted Acres Mischifmakr (EX89) who is a full sister to My Enchanted Acres Rnboskittles, 2015 National Champion Jr Nubian Doe. Mischif has a beautiful mammary and perfect teat size and placement with an outstanding attachment. We felt this genetic combination would allow Ovation to be an outstanding producing sire, and so far, he's proven us correct. We are very excited about the influence he is already having on our herd.
