Well I have debated back and fourth on this post for a while now , But the time has come to go ahead and make it. I have took a new position at work, It will require travel , and loads of overtime . With Taxidermy being my side job and hobby . I have decided to go ahead and shut down the shop, and not take in any more to mount. I appreciate everyone who has been a customer. To everyone who still has stuff here in the shop. No worries I am still plugging away to finish up , thank you for your patience. Hoping to be completed with in the next 2 months . Thanks again to everyone who supported me .

I have been working on a dead head my son and his cousin found while bowfishing. After going through all of the proper steps he was able to get a tag for it . It is a great deer it has been scored , grossing 193 and change it is a impressive framed deer. It was in rough shape being it had been in the water for a while. I have been slowly working on cleaning and staining them up. Out of all of the things I get to do in taxidermy antler restoration is probably my favorite. I just hope I did him justice. I will post pictures of the process start to finish.

With tomorrow being opening day of the Indiana gun season. I just to put out a reminder to first and foremost be safe and enjoy your hunt. Hello all just wanted to take a minute and send out a reminder, and give some updates. With season closing in quickly I want to go over the new plans and pricing for the shop this year and talk about turn around times.

First off thanks to everyone who gave me the chance to mount up your trophy last year I really appreciate the opportunity.

This year will be a little different , my turn around time last year was very quick in most cases. I was doing all of the tanning and hide prep. in house. This year that will change I have been talking to a tannery and I will be sending all hides out to be professionally tanned. This will up the turn around time to around the 8 to 12 month time frame which is very common in the industry, that being said this will allow me to spend more time with each mount to work more on the details and quality of the finished product.

Also there are driving factors with suppliers shipping and added cost with this new process , that are going to have to be factored in.

My new price for this year is 475 dollars for a standard should mount. Plus the 7% sales tax required by the state .

I am currently working on getting a price list put together and building a website with all the info you will need to know and so everyone can see some of my work.

This is a project I have been working on. One of the hardest things I have found to do correctly is stain antlers that have been bleached out by the sun. This is my first real attempt at it. I am pretty excited with the results of this new method .

Alright folks the opener of firearm season is quickly closing in. Remember we are only taking in a limited number of spots , I will be taking 30 for this season. Drop off by appointment only . Message me on here and I will get you my contact info and set up at time . For this year I will be 400 plus sales tax . With a 50% deposit , when you bring deer in have the confirmation # /tag with you for the paper work , we will set down go over the details of the contract and pick out the form and pose that you are looking for.
