We haven’t been very active lately but we’ve got some big big news!!!! TGK would like to introduce our newest edition to the pack! Meet Goose our Black Roan male. Goose is one playful little guy and if you couldn’t tell already loves his naps. While he might be small right now he’s already earned his “big stud” status 😉😉

Unfortunately we track alot of deer hit in the shoulder with minimal pe*******on and very rarely does it end in a recovery. Most of the time the hunters have the deer back on trail cameras in a week. The lung go back farther on a deer then most people realize. We truly want everyone to get the deer they shoot and really recommend aiming a few inches farther back them you think. Good luck this weekend, it's going to be crazy windy today but the rut is on!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Want to congratulate maverick on his first track AND find of the season! Also want to congratulate Mr. Tibor on a beautiful first buck with a bow!

We first arrived to the hunting grounds eager to get after it, made about a 200-250yd hike up to the shot site. We let Mav sniff around for a bit and let him smell the arrow. Right off the bat he was ready to take off down the hill! Mind you it was about a 35-45degree decline the whole way down. Maverick made quick work finding good amounts of blood along the way down, we then hit a small pause in tracking as mav got a little tired haha (over excitement). Got back on track and as we closed in on the last 100 or so yds and he started pulling even harder dragging me through all kinds of vines and sticker bushes until we walked right up on him piled up about 200yds away from the shot site. Congrats on a stellar deer and thanks for trusting us to recover your buck! Also wanted to make a huge shout out to Dan Cliff at for getting our foot in the door to the tracking world, we can’t thank you enough! When in doubt, back out!

If you have ever wondered if miracles are real, the Gilley family will be the first to tell you they are. Let us be the first to introduce you to Stone Gilley, if he hasn’t already made his way to you yet! Stone a 10 yr old boy local to the Chattanooga area. For the past month or so Stone has been fighting for his life after he was found unconscious and unresponsive by his mother. Words cannot describe how much of a privilege it is to know this young man and follow his story. To date Stone is making drastic improvements and is on his way to recovery!! We will be posting more updates on his condition as they come in. If you find yourself needing a little motivation for any reason look to this young man right here. He is the true definition of a fighter and we couldn’t be more proud of him and the improvements he is making. Here is the latest update in the last few photos. We will also be taking donations to help the family, link is in bio!

It’s been a while since he last had some practice so here’s a little run to get him back into the swing of things. Another hour old track, and Maverick makes pretty quick work of it! Ironically enough as I was laying this track there were two decently sized does standing right about where we first entered the woods. He does a great job of sticking to the scent he’s suppose to and finds it in no time. With the season getting closer and closer as the days pass we’re getting more and more excited!!! Remember to call us when your trying to recover your trophy of a lifetime! Who else is ready for Hunting season!?

Welcome to the TopGunKennelofTN home page! We are a small growing kennel and are looking to prosper in the next few years. Currently we will be offering Tracking/Game Recovery services for all hunters in boarding states in the Fall of 2022.

With that being said, meet Maverick! He is a 7 month old GSP who is undergoing tracking training with the one and only . He has proven so far to have a natural nose and drive to hunt. We hope to bring his strengths to the field this year and aim to walk away from this coming season making hunters happy! See you guys in the Fall!
