Day 2 of Cats of Catmas is Knight…she’s so loving with humans but doesn’t do so great with other cats. She can be with other cats but would prefer a home without cats or small children. She is such a sweet cat and has stunning green eyes that look amazing with her plush fur coat.

Heidi is our first kitty of our and she’s ready for her family, is that yours?

Heidi is a calm girl who just finished raising her last litter of kittens and is finally getting the chance to be a cat. She has been through a lot of change in the last few months, so she can be shy and cautious in new spaces, but once she adjusts, she is a great companion who is always nearby. She loves chin scratches and will make the cutest chirps when you pet her. She loves to soak up sun beams and would be thrilled to have a cat friend to show her the ropes and help her build her confidence - she will be the first one to join a cuddle puddle.

Shy but sweet, she just needs time to get settled into her new home but will reward you with companionship.

If you couldn’t get to Speck’s today for pet pics with Santa you can go tomorrow at the Carmel location. If you didn’t make it to our Home for the Holidays event sponsored by Petco, you can still get there tomorrow.

We had a big day today and we are still working through the adoption photos but there are several new happy families tonight.

*Opi and Sparrow are adopted! Bean is still waiting for her family to find her!*

Bean (calico), Opi (DMH Tabby), and Sparrow (DSH Tabico) are all FIV+ but that does not mean they can’t live with others. There have been many beliefs passed down that simply aren’t true, and FIV+ cats can live a long happy life and with other cats. We are reducing their adoption fee to $50 as we understand they are technically special needs, for Saturday and Sunday only. Bean and Sparrow both had kittens and Opi was recently dumped at a vet. They’re all great cats looking for a wonderful home.

We have a limited quantity of handmade ornaments available this weekend at Petco on US 31. We will see you there with lots of cute kitties available for adoption and hope you take home one of these quirky ornaments for a minimum $5 donation. 100% of the proceeds goes back to our rescues. $5 buys a microchip for one of our kitties that in turn offers security to their adopter.

We recently took in cats from a domestic violence situation and thankfully their human is now safe from their abuser and has secured a place to live. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed and they had to make the painful decision to surrender to us.

You have the power to change lives. Lives like Opi! And all it takes is a few moments of your day. Maybe making a cup of coffee at home and not going through the drive thru.

We know there are many organizations asking you for your dollars and those dollars are tight. We humbly ask you to consider donating $5, $10, $25 to support cats like Opi. He is an FIV+ kitty that we took in when his combo test results came in. FIV+ does not mean he can't live with other cats. It doesn't mean he will have chronic health issues. It doesn't mean he is any less adoptable.

We often have to make painful decisions on intake requests but this one was a no-brainer. He is 1.5 and gorgeous. But what matters most is he did not deserve to be left at the vet with his hopes of a life with the person that had been caring for him for months dashed. The human he knew, that loved him, that told him he had a home with her left him.

He is finishing his two week quarantine as he was an outdoor cat, we want to make sure he doesn't break with anything and is good to go before he is available for adoption. He will be ready in time for our BIG adoption event this upcoming weekend at Petco.

Your donation helps provide medical care, spay/neuter, combo testing, food, litter, toys, and operating costs for our overall rescue efforts. As an all volunteer rescue, we rely on our supporters to help with our rescue efforts. We thank you for everything you do to help save those in need!
