2023 tested me beyond limits I knew I could handle. As a rider, as a coach, as just a human. I lost 3 of some of the most precious pieces of my life. Lucy, my heart horse… my first horse was one of the biggest losses. Despite the incredibly awful things that happened, I won’t leave out the good! 2023 was the year I started JGM (and subsequently sorta lost it😅). Some of the firsts- took a lesson kid to a show, went to colonial classic, showed 2’, showed 2’3. I met Sarah who has since changed my life in the most amazingly unexpected way and really saved me. I got the pleasure of teaching some really really great kids, and had their moms who have been nothing short of a godsend. I gained a new family at wild springs. The last 365 have been the worst I’ve ever had, but that only means there are good things to come. This year, there are new goals, new challenges and hopefully successes. Big things will come this year. To those who have been a part of JGM, thank you, I love you, let keep moving forward- just grab mane for the next fence 😉.

3 back to back weekends of shows!!!!!! Apple cider show series is over and Merlin and I championed 2 divisions for the season!!!! I’m so incredibly proud of this wonder pony. I love him so so sooooooo much!!!!! Ricky made an appearance with Sierra too who also rocked it. All my favorite people were there, and I’m just so lucky to have the best barn family. Thank you wild springs farm for hosting such a fun series!!!!

This past weekend, Wild Springs Farm went to the JAT hunter derby! Merlin went in the 2’-2’3 Pony Hunter Derby and placed 5th and also competed in the long stirrup hunter classic placing 5th again! It was both of our first time at a derby! Sarah and her amazing baby horse were FIRST in the JB Creighton equitation classic!!!!! What an amazing day!

So thankful for this season and the lessons it came with. Thankful for the people who wrapped their arms around me when I lost my Lucy unexpectedly and tragically, the people who have supported the massive changes I have had to make, all the teams who gave me love at colonial and of course my entire new family at wild springs. Sierra- I am SO proud of you. While I’m also mildly grieving the loss of my lesson program, I’m excited for new adventures.
