Happy Monday 🫶🏽
Let’s talk tripe. First off what is tripe & where does it come from?
Tripe is the stomach lining of ruminants (Cattle, sheep, goats)
Tripe can be found in honeycomb styles and layered or ribbon styles depending on which stomach (usually from cattle; they have 4) the lining was obtained from.
Most tripe you find in stores are bleached and processed. Green tripe is great for gut health as it’s full of probiotics and other healthy bacteria.
Green tripe is not really green in color (more of a brownish color), it just means that it was not washed or bleached away for human consumption. As a raw part of your pups diet it can be pretty smelly but that’s what our pups love. Am I right?
How many stomachs does a cow have and what are the names of each?
[green tripe will be available soon]
