Adding onto my last post:
If you find yourself completely unable to get into a groomer or you have a friend that finds a stray and needs emergency grooming attention, please feel free to message the page and I'll get you scheduled. I would also consider grooming for low income people that just can't afford $50+ to get their dog groomed, or anybody who is housebound and unable to get their dog to a groomer.

Making the decision to close up shop unless I have specific requests from friends. I have offered very low grooming prices and all I have been met with is hate and "its a scam if it's that cheap." I've been giving a lot of grooming services for FREE and I have people angry at me that they don't tell me when they want their dog groomed again until they want them groomed NOW.

Most of my grooming service was nail clippings which I didn't mind. I have been completely unable to track down the part I need for my grooming table that allows me to trim nails safely and keep your pets on the table securely and I would have to buy a whole new table and they don't come cheap. I appreciate the few who supported me and realized I was offering cheap (and free) grooming simply because I love working with animals. I have a full time job during the week and it was never about making a profit.

It's come to my attention that the messaging feature for the page is not working correctly. Some of you can't message the page at all and I'm not getting some messages. I've looked into this and I've found a lot of business pages are having the same issues with new updates from Facebook. I've made a report but from what I understand we all just have to wait it out while facebook/messenger does its thing.

Pretty Paws will no longer be associating with, collaborating with, or promoting Four Legs and Fur. I've shared this information with several of you who have asked when I'll have another nail clinic in Hickory County. I will be working on the right location and get a permit for me to have a nail station set up and Pretty Paws will be flying solo and not part of an event.
They shared a photo promoting not to buy rawhide from Walmart because it came from China and stated China did not care about our dogs here. That was not an okay statement to make and I commented on that post calling them out for it. Rawhide shouldn't be bought from any store, no matter what country it came from. Even if no bleach or glue us used, it is not easy for your doggos to digest.
They recently had a post promoting a registered puppy for $400. They took it down saying that they were not behind it but the post is back up today. I do not want to be associated with advertising a puppy from a breeder for $400. That is not a price that should be associated with a shelter or a rescue in my opinion.
I do not want my business to be associated with these posts or tactics. I had several screenshots sent to me about the two posts I mentioned above and today I received more from people who saw the new post about the $400 puppy and I wanted to make it known to my clients that I do not support it and to prevent thus in the future I will no longer be affiliated.

Rawhide made in ANY country is equally dangerous for your dogs. It is not safe, or better, depending where it is imported from or made. Buy your pets better treats and chews this 'paw'liday season.

I had a couple different people tell me this weekend that I charge too little. Let me explain why: since I come to you I don't have to worry about utilities, only gas. This is a side business that I started so I could spend more time with dogs without volunteering at a vet or a shelter. All my past time volunteering broke my heart to see all the lonely or suffering animals. I enjoy grooming and spending time with all of your doggos! I want to be affordable and flexible for people. Before I could do it myself I understood how hard it was to get an appointment at a groomer and how costly it was.
To help me keep my costs low is why I occasionally post my Amazon wishlist and my gofundme. I do not expect monetary donations or items to be bought but it sure is helpful when people do. Most of my supplies were either donated to me or bought off my wishlist. I would love to get a banner or sign or even get my logo on my back windshield but advertising is so expensive which is what my current gofundme is for. All money earned and tips go toward gas and grooming expenses! I never spend it on anything outside of the business.

Please consider donating so I can buy things to make your dog more comfortable, grooming and nail clipping a little easier, and help with advertising expense. Any amount helps! If you don't want to donate, please consider buying something off my Amazon wishlist. Can't do either? That's fine! I always appreciate you sharing my posts and that is a free action :)

Moving forward, I will be doing my best to have a location for people to bring their dogs to me. When this is not possible, I understand I will be at your home (generally in a bathroom) but I will ask that you are not present during grooming or nail clipping. This will help your dog be more calm and not distracted and moving around as much. Your dog will always prefer you over me, especially when I'm bathing or clipping nails and I've been learning the hard way that they will always be looking for and going toward their owners.
I had many requests for nail clipping along with the caveot "my dog bites and we usually have to muzzle or knock them out". While it is my intention to not muzzle where I don't have to, I have added different size muzzles to my wishlist so I can accommodate more dogs.

What a great weekend! Thank you people of HCo who supported both me and four legs and fur at the outlet park. It was great getting to meet all of your doggos and I was able to schedule several appointments outside of the event and knock them out on Sunday. I know there are a few people I didn't get back to, and I apologize! I was booked and then my clippers quit charging and I had to stop.

So many people are asking how travel grooming works. It means I come to you! I have a foldable wash tub and a table that folds as well. I have all the supplies I need, I will only need access to a faucet or water hose for the bathing part as I have a spray attachment. The tub has a tube that drains the water into a sink or yard so it will always be mess free and there's a drain plug that blocks hair.
If you're located in NWA, you are welcome to bring your furry friend to my apartment, but they need to be pet friendly as I do have a dog of my own. I can kennel her if need be but I can't have a dog that's going to bully her even if she's in her kennel.
I hope this answers some questions!

Weekend availability only for MO right now. If you're in NWA I can do some evening availability.
Again my prices are:
◾️Grooming (bathing, nail trimming, cut): $20 or $15 if you have multiple animals.
◾️Bathing (with or without nail trimmming): $10

My mini poodle Daisy has given me the most experience in grooming 😃 she was rescued from a puppy mill and was yellow, matted and very unloved. I picked up grooming her especially during covid since I was working from home every day
