In my day to day, there is a lot going on- more than I post about for sure due to caring for all of our animals, kittens and breeding cats included! Dang, it often doesn’t feel like there is enough time in the day! With three young kids and a more than usual amount of cats, amidst our other animals and life endeavors, I sometimes question my sanity and whether to continue breeding 😹😆 And while my kids try to “help” - it doesnt always - soooo lots of mischief but there is also a lot of moments that I LOVE. In between the fresh water refills, chewy box orders, tractor supply runs, vet appts and litter robot maintenance, there’s usually a picture or two or 10. What I feel makes our kitties so special is that they get love, snuggles and tugs from my kids! They often nickname them, picking one or two as their favorite but toting them all around in their arms or their wagons a large chunk of the day (some even for rides to preschool) and ofcourse their morning, noon or night hugs everyday 🥰

We’re always wondering where the socks go and I’ve just given up on matching socks in my house 🤦‍♀️😹

One of my favorite things is greeting these little love bugs - I’m greeted back with little meows and lots of purrs.

Mama Sia is doing well! She had four healthy kitties, all snow, polydactyl paws front and back, two short tails, two normal length tails. TBD on the sex and ears once they start curling.

How We Settled on Highland Lynx & Love Lynx Cattery

Crazy cat lady? Maybe. I have grown up with cats my whole life, mostly your typical house cat and taking in strays here or there. After a recent loss of two of our domestic cats, we set on a search for a purebred cat. We were looking for a unique, exotic looking breed but one that was personable, fun, and a people-cat. That’s how we came across the Highland Lynx cat breed. My husband and I love animals, and I love having many of them. Our home is home to another cat [Porky], two dogs [Xena + Colton], two Nigerian Dwarf goats [Lady BaBa + Alfie], and two swedish ducks. Everyone, including myself, loves kittens but my husband would not let me continuously get kittens so the though of opening a small cattery, to enjoy the perks and fun with kittens but send them to loving homes where they’ll make an impact on your families’ lives sounded like a good option for me.

In New Hampshire, there are not many breeder’s for Highland Lnyx cats, and in general, the breed is a fairly new breed having been developed just about 20 years ago. The breed is known for their active, mischievous, yet loving personality and exotic looks.
