Previous guy would not trim this guy since he was a mule. The owner had drugs on hand we never opened the box. What a great mule and very pretty as well.

We worked on the guy today. He had flare on the medial side of his near hind hoof, due to exce length of the medial hoofwall. This was most likely caused from imbalanced trimming and shaping the shoe to the flare from the previous hoof care provider. He is balanced now and walking beautifully. We will see him at his next appointment.

Spud went lame last week, and during his trim we found the source of his problem! A huge abcess. We cut it down and medicated it and wrapped it now its being medicated every few days.

Hey everyone!!
I am a Certified farrier taking on some new clients, I have been to 2 schools taught the craft at one and constantly learning I have worked with many great horses. I have a great client book but am now going to open up an opportunity to get on my books again! If your looking for a farrier that will return your calls, show up and do everything possible for you and your equine partner here we are! We offer hot shoeing, corrective and therapeutic. I am constantly working on getting more equipment and education this year in 2023 i am working on my Journeyman Certification, to better help your equine partners! 2 things I hear often... 1st older horse I hear the have a crooked led can you fix it? My answer only if we could go back to when the were 4-6 months old.
2nd thing I hear has nothing to do with my job as a farrier. People say don't ride your c**t until they are 3 or 4 years old. As you can see from the diagram we would have to wait until a horse is 6 years old for every bone to fuse... I'm not saying to change your ways or work c**ts hard at a young age just know why you are waiting until 3 or 4. We start ours if big enough on light work under saddle between riding and packing and they always end up great with no problems.
