Cleaning up and organizing today gives me the opportunity to update the girls awards wall. While I could not fit Maggie’s Absolute winning ribbons within her display area (it’s displayed in another area of the wall with everyone’s FT ribbons). Magic is building her display already with her Puppy of Achievement certificate, and looking to add more titles soon since she is going to be turning 1 in October and is already pointed in conformation.

So we did an amazing thing today… Today under judge Mrs Cindy Meyer with the Nita-Nee KC Magic won her class, and Future went 1st out a a beautiful class of Bred By bi***es then converted that placement into a Winners Bitch for a 4 point Major finishing her Championship and all from the Bred By Exibitor Class!!! I am so beyond excited to have achieved this impossible dream 😉 !!! Huge thank you to all those who have supported me in this adventure!!

**Editing to add…. This is a puppy, his breeder is who is looking for the right home. Parents are Champions and Field Champions. He is @13 weeks old had 2 of his puppy series vaccinations and is ready to go now. I am just helping her out since we happen to be at an event together currently and had the chance to meet and play with him.

We Got Mail!! Ella, Coco and Future have officially added a new bit of the alphabet to the end of their names 😆 way to go girls!

This is a title for lure coursing which they achieved by doing 3 runs of 300yds chasing and engaging with the lure (in this case a white plastic baggie). I’ve posted previously the videos of them doing this if you would like to look back at previous posts.

Phwue! What a wonderful end to a very long show/Field Trial/ Sporting weekend! The dogs are exhausted and so am I! Future got first in her Bred By class and was able to convert that into 2 points being added to her Championship count by going Winners Bitch. Unfortunately the major broke, but we will continue to add up the points and get this girl to her Championship. She also went Owner Handled and went into the group ring but didn’t get a placement, however both of the other coat types, the wire and smooth represented and earned a 1st and 4th placement, congrats to John and Rita on your wins!! Future’s sister, Sutton, co-owned with Michelle and Corey got Reserve Winners, congratulations to her and them!!!!
3 new titles on 3 girls and more points on Future toward her Championship, could not be prouder of these pups 🐾

A wonderful day at the Western Pennsylvania Dachshund Club Specialty in New Castle, PA
We started the morning with some lure coursing. Both Coco and Ella completed a new title today, they now have their CA title to add to the back of their names. Future ran with her whole heart today and had a blast as well!
Then it was on to shows, Magic took Best Opposite S*x to the Best In Sweepstakes Longhaired Dachshund puppy, and grabbed herself the cutest little lambie toy, a bed and a pretty ribbon to add to her collection. She also got first in her regular puppy class. Future was in bred by class and took first from a nice group of girls as well. Neither was able to convert that to points in the Specialty, but they both showed very nicely!
Thanks to the Western Pennsylvania Dachshund Club for a great Specialty! Thanks also for putting on a nice picnic for us to all enjoy and socialize together. Great dogs, great food, and great friendships make for a great day!

Brag post!!
Future had a great day today at the dog show hosted by the Carroll Kennel Club held in West Friendship, MD. She went winners for 2 points, and then topped it off with Best Opposite S*x (BOS) over a very nice special, and Best of Winners (BOW) as well as Best Owner Handled (BOBOH). Thank you to judge David Swartwood for your kind words about this little girl!
Future wasn’t feeling pictures after her very long day, but since she’s so stinking cute, I’m sharing these attempts.
Future is a first place finish away from her field Championship, and is on her way to being a conformation Champion. She is working to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become another Bred By Dual Champion!! I can’t wait!!

We are finally home from a long weekend of field trials. 😅 I am super impressed with how much improvement I see in Magic at such a young age, she is really coming along and figuring things out!
Future has matured immensely and has continued to fight for every chance she gets in the field to find bunnies! She’s 🤪 about 🐰!! Today she earned a 4th place finish after 2 days of a lack of focus to the task she was given, and went on a wild and crazy hunt after taking the line and popping herself a 🐰. She then proceeded to pop 1/2 the bunnies in the field and give chase while voicing her excitement and luck. 🤦‍♀️ She has drive! 😆 Her sisters Storm and Sutton also were trialing today and did amazing!!! Suttton earned a 3rd place finish to round out her great weekend, and Storm earned a 5th (NBQ) placement! Not too bad for her second time in the field!! She is a quick learner and really progressed from her last time in the field last year. Pics are of the 3 daughters and parents, DC Maggie and CH Levi.

Future went Reserve Winners from a very nice class of Bred by Exibitor girls today, and 6 month old Magic got her little self a pretty red ribbon and did great in the ring. She is really figuring out this show dog thing 😉 🥰 Blue and Gray Cluster under judge Dr Ronald Spritzer who did so well with all the dogs, very soft handed and kind to those young dogs. He even had little conversations with them 😂

Super excited for this years breeding plans!! Great things expected out of the studs I’ve selected for each of the girls I plan to be breeding.

Absolute DC Maggie is in heat now and will be bred to CH Levi again. Both are fully health tested, genetic and all OFA’s and have produced beautiful puppies. We are expecting black and tan and black and tan dapples. If you have already submitted an application, look forward to interviews starting in about 2 months after confirmation of pregnancy.

Future, who is pointed in both field and conformation, will be bred as well. She is also fully health tested, genetic and all OFA’s. The stud for her is red, and I expect all red puppies from this planned litter. Future will continue in field and conformation meanwhile.

And Absolute FC Coco, also fully health tested, is planned to be bred to an outstanding CH stud, with all OFA’s completed as well. I expect creams, black and cream, black and cream dapples, and cream dapples. This litter should be full of lots of drive and great conformation.

Magic wrapped up the long weekend with another Puppy Hound Group 4 ribbon!! 😍
Future got herself another second placement in her impressive Bred By class.
We had a great time at the York shows, but everyone is ready to get home and rest!!

Congratulations to all the handlers, and a special congrats to all those finishing their dogs!!

An eventful day at the York Dog Shows today!

Another Puppy Hound Group 4 today for Magic! She also made a great friend with a small 2 legged kid while waiting for groups to start.

Future got 2nd in her Bred By Exibitor Class in the Dachshund Fanciers Association of Berks County Specialty today against an exemplary girl owned by Kate Lawhorne Black, Congratulations Kate! A LONG TIME COMING…
On June 1, 2023 FC Miniature Dreams Pour Another Shot Of RumChatta MLC BCAT CGC TKN locked in her Field Championship after just 4 trials. She earned her first place finish which set her up to run for Best Open in the trial held by the Metropolitan Washington Dachshund Club Field Trial. She demonstrated a strong desire to hunt and beat a worthy opponent to win Best Open, and then had the opportunity to run for Absolute. She was against the FCD who also came determined to show off his hunting skills. They both put up a good effort but Coco managed to clinch the win and become the Absolute winner of the field trial at the Tri County Beagle Club grounds in Carrolltown, PA. This win was done just 2 months to the day after Coco was returned to me by her owners because of a move to another country, making her my second Absolute winner from FC Ella and Cash. After a very lengthy and patient wait, she has finally been recognized and awarded her much deserved Bronze Plaque by DCA, an award issued to recognize Absolute winners. Coco has since earned additional titles and has continued her efforts to hunt bunnies since, mostly in my backyard and all the neighbors 🤦‍♀️ by escaping regularly 🙄

Huge gratitudes to Karen Jones, Tracy Freeling, and all those that helped sort out and correct the error to ensure this recognition and plaque came to her.
