We all have “off” days. When that happens at Mettapuos, we keep it simple- walking together, leash time, bringing calm. When out of sorts, it’s nice for them not to have to make so many decisions (no need to choose between recall vs wild smells for example). And then the calm down stays are easier. And then all is good. MettaPupsVT

They were so sweet with puppy Ruby. Usually, pups don’t do Mettapups until they are older. But: home all day in a crate vs out on the hike??? Ruby learned a lot. And the pups were sweet. Makes me realize we need a puppy day to build the skills used at Mettapups hikes. Do you have a pup who would love off leash hikes???

Sticks!!!! SO fun! But....at Mettapups, stick play is gained over time among dogs who know and trust each other.....it takes time for most dogs to make friends, be calm together, know when it’s funny to goof on a dog and when they really don’t like that so much. We have a blast: Run, but not away. Smell all the delights, but come back when called. Walk calmly together because we can. Mettapups has openings for a few new spots. If you have a pup who loves off leash hikes with other dogs while you work, let’s talk. It’s good for the pups. It’s good for the soul.
