Remember this guy from 3 months ago?

He had a bit of a rough start at life but is now 3 months old. He's turned into a very nice looking strong buck! The farm owners named him "Mikki" after me. It was nice to see this guy thriving today.🐐

Showed up to one of my regular farms for a herd trim today and ended up assisting this big boy into the world! Mom was having a tough time getting his broad shoulders out. Mom and baby are healthy and doing great!

I met a few rescue goats today. Two of them (including this one pictured) actually survived a barn fire when their home was lit on fire by an arsonist!

I wanted to shared a before and after on this guy's front claws. You can see the significant difference in the size and shape of the claws. Most small ruminants require routine hoof maintenance. Walking on severely overgrown hooves is painful and can lead to infection.

Did you know:

Domesticated goats/sheep depend on us to trim their hooves appropriately every 6-8 weeks? Overgrown hooves can trap dirt and moisture that over time can cause the hoof to become unhealthy! It can also be uncomfortable or even painful for your animal to walk on hooves that aren't properly maintained.

Trimming small ruminant hooves can sometimes be a challenge, so let me help your critters walk on flat feet again! 🐐🐏

Hey guys!

I wanted to start out by telling you a little about myself. I currently work as a veterinary assistant and I am enrolled in college to become a registered veterinary technician. I am a full time mother, wife, student and employee with a huge love for animals. I am happy to announce that I will be offering small ruminant (sheep and goat) hoof trimming in western North Carolina! I can do trimming by the head or trimming by the herd!
