How was your holiday? Mochi our male bearded dragon that had a hemipene amputation recently and has been doing wonderfully since! His foster mom Lindsey put up a little stocking for Christmas and gave hum extra bugs. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we hope you had a wonderful season and it will continue into the new year.

It was time to wash my comforter so I figured why not let Little Foot up on the bed. Little Foot is a foster fail of our volunteer Madi; he was a surrender dropped off at Petco years ago when she still worked there, and she immediately fell in love. He went home with her that day and he’s been a precious baby angel ever since. Do you have any impulse surrenders you’ve taken in? I have way too many 😅

Merry Christmas from A Shedding Chance Reptile Rescue! I hope everyone slept well and has a fantastic day. Noodle our boa constrictor was feeling reluctantly festive earlier this month. He went to the vet for his suture removal and his foster mom did a quick little photoshoot! Normally we wouldn’t bother him when he’s getting ready to shed, but he was already having to get sutures removed so the hat was the least offensive part of his day. Are you doing anything special today? Do you have any “presents” you got your pets? My sweet rat snake Sebastian got a brand new hide and my bearded dragon got a blueberry as his holiday snack!

Our sweet precious boy! This picture was taken at the beginning of the month when he went in for his suture removal. I normally wouldn’t bother any snake when they’re about to shed, but since he needed to be bothered anyways we took advantage of it!
