Messy, Sleepy… and Totally Adorable 💛
Meet Kevin — our little Russian tortoise who has two main hobbies right now:

1️⃣ Making a complete disaster of his quarantine setup 💥

2️⃣ Immediately taking a nap after 💤

Kevin is currently battling a pinworm infestation, and it can take several months of treatment before he’s fully clear and ready for adoption. In the meantime, he’s getting all the care (and cleanups) he needs here at A Shedding Chance. 💛

Did you know tortoises can develop bladder stones? 😥 These painful stones can grow surprisingly large and sometimes require surgery to remove.

The best ways to prevent bladder stones are:
🌿 A proper high-fiber, low-protein diet
💧 Access to clean drinking water at all times
🛁 Regular soaks to keep them well-hydrated

Our sweet Frida, an African spurred tortoise (Sulcata tortoise), is currently battling bladder stones — and she’s getting all the care she needs here at A Shedding Chance. 💛
