Reason 12,857 why this dog gives me anxiety and can NEVER be off a leash even while on his own back porch. He'll calm down they said, it's just a phase they said , He'll stop once he gets older they said. THEY were WRONG! Dec. 8th this dude (and his sister)will be 14 years old. By 1 year of age it was quite clear Louie was never going to be a normal dog he was suffering greatly from anxiety and fear based behaviors medication did not work keeping his mind and body active DID some genius toys made by the company busy buddies were a lifesaver for us! Around 3 years he got Lyme disease I was told he might not make it but he DID. He was diagnosed 7 years ago with liver failure, Addison's disease, and was suffering from seizures and I was told he probably won't live longer than 2 more weeks but he DID. At the age of 12 he had major surgery to remove 23 bladder stones and again I was told he probably won't survive but he DID. With the help of some AMAZING vets, and major life style changes his guy shows no physical signs of slowing down and although he makes life difficult at times I couldn't be happier to still have him around. He makes up the grub part of Grub & Groom . It was through his trials and tribulations and MUCH research that I was able to create treats that not only tasted good but also gave some health benefits when eaten. Store bought foods and treats are not always as good for your pet as they claim to be. Do research and know what's in what your pet is eating.
