Just another day on the job. This is Champ. He’s a lovely Maine C**n that I get the pleasure of working with every 4 weeks. Maintenance grooming is especially important for full coated breeds. It helps prevent matts and tangles, and keeps the skin from excess buildup of oils and dirt. Most cats actually enjoy the grooming process, like Champ.

While I make it a point to never show negativity to other groomers, I feel the need to share this. This ‘groomer’ has been posting all over the country. She requires a deposit to book an appointment, then disappears. Many groomers require a deposit, which isn’t a red flag in itself. If you’re interested in scheduling any type of service that requires money up front, please do your research before giving anyone any money. Make sure your family and friends are aware of these scam practices. Stay safe.

Legitimate businesses should have a website or active page. Their name should pop up in a google search. Look for previous posts in local groups. Make sure comments haven’t been turned off and the business is engaging with potential clients.

2 years ago today Head to Toe Mobile Grooming got a new start here in South Florida. In the last 2 years I have met some amazing people who happen to be owned by some amazing pets. Some of my senior pups. As our four legged friends age, they experience the same aches and pains we do. Stiff or sore joints, arthritis, impaired vision and hearing, fatigue. My focus on seniors will always be Humanity over Vanity. Their safety and comfort is more important than their looks. Many can’t stand like they could when they were younger, so I try to minimize their time on the table to keep them as stress free as possible. They might not have the perfect haircuts, but they will always be beautiful to me ❤️

Please know that if you don’t see your dog’s picture, it isn’t because I don’t try. Most pups know that when I open the cabinet to get a bandanna or bow, it’s time to go home. Some are just too excited to sit still. If you have a picture of your pet after they’ve settled down at home, please feel free to send it to me if you want to see your friend posted on the page 😊
