Foster Cats Sadiya and Noctua have the best seats for the nightly visitors who come through the Wild Reiki Spa (note the glowing eyes at the beginning). Peter Rabbit peered out from under the fountain. Fuzzy Buddy played in it before rejoining Mama. He stopped to peer in through the cat door, hoping to discover the magic password (it is electronically keyed). They came through again around dawn, heading home.

Happy Caturday! Tamerlan demonstrates the lazy way to enjoy the new Cat Tunnel: swatting the swinging ball while lying on your back, and using your front legs to pull yourself around the curves. By the end of the video, he had worked up enough of a static charge to exit with a burst of energy!

Rabbit Raccoon Rat Cat visit the Wild Reiki Spa
Many visitors to the Wild Reiki Spa: Peter Rabbit is still around and got big! Mama Raccoon strolled thru w/kit Fuzzy Buddy; 2 rats who have been coming nightly, followed later by a cat who would have liked a close personal introduction. I hope to find out whose cat it is and warn them about the coyotes.

Despite having only one working eye, Mama Raccoon is a great mother. I've watched her raise numerous litters of kits, but she only has one this year—Fuzzy Buddy. She waits to ensure Fuzzy Buddy stays safe.

Baby Bunny enjoyed the playground area at the Wild Reiki Spa, practicing his running abilities which are needed considering that Owls, Coyotes, and Cats consider him a delicacy. I have tried to warn Baby Bunny that he needs to find a safer place, but it is not working so far.
Postscript: I did not have the heart to post this until now. This was Baby Bunny's last night. I am glad it was a joyful one. I know that most rabbits do not make it to adulthood, but I will miss him.

Mama Raccoon hunts while Baby goes playfully wild at Wild Reiki Spa
Raccoon babies grow up quickly, learning to follow and imitate mom as she forages, so I count this opportunity to see little Fuzzy Buddy go crazy pouncing on the wiffle balls as a blessing (and his antics made me laugh). I have watched Mama Raccoon and her babies on the cam for several summers, and she is a great mom. This is the first year she has shown up with only one baby. I do not know if that is because she is getting old (this may be her last litter; she feels tired) or if the others met with some mishap. Mama's injury earlier may have been caused by a fight. In any case, moments like this remind me to embrace all the joy I can!

This male raccoon is the most playful of all the adults who stop by the Wild Reiki Spa. This time, he decided to have fun with the Wiffle Ball, and it looked like he would take it home! I loved the head shake; it reminded me of how dogs shake a toy.
