Hello everyone!! I know I haven't said a whole lot this winter. Ain't been much to say. I want to thank y'all for your continued support and business. With that said, this year is goin to be vastly different from last year. If you want to book a guided ride I will definitely need a few days notice. Not only am I doing the guide service I'm also renting horses for guided rides, giving horse and buggy rides, working at apple jacks 21 and rivers edge, and operating the hatchet house at night. My plate is gonna be extra full this summer so I'm gonna need y'all to bear with me. I hope to see everyone soon!!! Thank you again!

If anyone needs brush hoggin done, fence built, horses broke or rode, or saddles and tack cleaned give me a hollar! Brush hoggin is $25 an hour with 3 hour minimum. Fence is $15 an hour. Horses broke starts at 550 a month. Saddles cleaned start at $50 each and tack starts at $10 per bridle and $5 for any other piece.

If anyone would like their saddle horses to be a dual purpose horse give me a hollar. I'm doin cart training through the winter months. So if you'd like your rider to pull as well just give me a hollar. I trained the horse that I drove in the Winona and Eminence parades just so y'all have some reference. Thank you!

C&H Equine Guides For Hire will be doing wagon rides and horse drawn taxi service next spring summer and fall. Feel free to book a ride any time of the year tho! As of now we have this small wagon to give rides in. We can fit up to 5 people including me. And the ride will last around 10-15 mins. $10 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult!! The taxi can pick you up anywhere within Eminence city limits or directly outside city limits. And drop you anywhere in town to shop, go to the river, have a beer at one or the several bars in town and so much more. Then when you are done give us a shout and allow us time to make our way back to you. We are only a one horse powered vehicle ya know lol. C&H Equine Guides For Hire will be offering wagon and cart rides next year along with several rental horses. So if you want to go on a trail ride or just kick back and enjoy a slow relaxing wagon ride we will have you covered at C&H Equine Guides For Hire. We will also be offering horse drawn taxis for people wanting to go down town. The taxi will run from Smitty's Hatchet House to the stone house and back. Had a great 4 and a half hour ride with Craig and his daughter Emily today! Got some decent pictures. Fun group. Good ride. Didn't get to wet lol. They even took Katie the kids and me out to eat at Hogan's. Thank y'all for an awesome day! I look forward to seein y'all again next year! Have a safe trip home!

Well we got Rooster home and in the pen with S**g. He got his right eye poked out when he was a foal, he is now 7 months old, so he was given to me. Gonna be a pack horse for the next 2 years then I'm gonna break him out. Supposed to be a registerable racking horse. We shall see!!! Gonna take him to the vet next week to get him gelded and his right eye removed and sewn shut so he won't have to wear the fly mask anymore (it protects his bad eye, he lays on his right side but doesn't know to close the bad eye so it gets full of gunk.

Well after we stretched our legs, went up one side of a switch back mountain and down the other side then back again, we got this new guy home and added to my saddle horse string. This is S**g. Y'all gonna be seein alot of him in the future! He's a keeper for sure!!!

Hello and welcome to C&H Equine Guides for Hire. My name is Chris Smith and I am a horsetrail guide for hire. If you have a spot you'd like to see but never been able to find, I'm your guy. If you always wanted to do overnight pack trips, I'm your guy. if you have ever wanted to do a horseback survivalist weekend trip, I'm your guy. I will have a bigger truck and trailer soon , to haul myself and my customers farther from town, but untill then most rides will leave right from eminence. If you have a small group I can get transportation arranged. All rides are custom priced but we do have base line prices available.

HALF DAT RIDE- Starts at $100 for up to 4 people, $25 for any additional person.

ALL DAY RIDE- Starts at $200 for up to 4 people, $50 for any additional person.

OVER NIGHT RIDE- Starts at $300 per day for up to 4 people, $75 for any additional person.

SURVIVALIST WEEKEND RIDE- Starts at $500 for up to 4 people, $125 for any additional person.

Must be 10 years or older to participate in an overnight ride.

We will have several pack horses for rent as well. $50 a day per horse.

You must bring your own mount and ALL your gear. I am only your guide. I provide nothin but knowledge and pack horses. If you wish to bring your own pack horses you may. For the overnight trips we will have an option for a base camp. This will be more expensive but eliminate the need for pack horses. Reservations required 3 days in advance with 1/3 $ deposit.
