In the fall of 2016 I, Paula Richey, envisioned an area where Red River locals’ and visitors’ dogs could run and play safely. With The approval and support of Mayor Linda Calhoun, an idea for a fundraising event to erect and outfit a leash free park was born. Under the supervision and guidance of the Town Council, the Parks and Recreation Committee, a hard working planning group and volunteers, the first Wags & Wine Fundraiser was held in Brandenburg Park July 27 & 28, 2017. It was a big success. I am so proud of the Red River Valley Bark Park and want to give a big Thank You to all of our supporters! PAULA RICHEY
