Hello,
Most of my friends know I am a registered nurse, I breed dogs (golden retrievers), and I teach families how to train their puppies & dogs. I am actively training two pups (Acer & Leo) as Service Dogs.
Acer, Marvin & I have been working with Kaarla Weston owner of Gilford’s Golden Guardians in NH.
Today, we successfully helped Acer with another skill that is essential. I am so very pleased with our progress.
I am sharing this because I believe service dogs can enhance lives.

We are pleased to offer a Pet Loss Support Group with a Licensed Veterinary Social Worker. Losing a pet can be just as overwhelming as losing a human family member or friend. This is a virtual meeting once a month and open to our clients.

Teaching your dog to wait or stay is important. If there was a situation that could be dangerous your dog would be safe ”staying put”.
Our girl, Rosebud 🌹is doing amazing with this skill.
Is it perfect? “No”
So, how do you get is 💯 %? “Practice, use games, use treats, use lots of positive reinforcement, and continue to give her learn opportunities”.

Our young puppies are introduced to our older dogs with supervision. Young pups bone structure is developing so play should be fun, in short increments and not overly physical.

Puppies need a variety of toys to play with. Toys help puppies to play, explore & be creative. Puppies are chewers so give them toys that are meant for chewing. Invest in durable toys that have multi purpose. Puppies like to carry their toys. And yes, they like to take their toys outside. If you need suggestions please reach out to your breeder or to us.
