It is important to note that during the summer months there are fewer flowers and other food sources for bees, which puts them in difficulties. In addition, the water is scarce and many bees drown when trying to drink in the pools. A advice to help them is to grate an apple and put the pieces in a bowl with water. Thus, bees can obtain fruit sugars and drink water without risk of drowning, since they can perch on fruit pieces. Our bees populations are threatened, so it is important to provide them with all possible support.

Our Story

I started my business after I boarded my Dalmatian, during a trip to South America, at a Veterinary Hospital. A few things made this a difficult decision; how limited the options were, how little attention & exercise she would receive. I decided to trust that they understood daily care and would make sure she was comfortable. Instead came home to a very unhappy little pup.

All animals innately know when you are leaving and will have some level of anxiety because they know they will miss you. How they are when you get home is a telling sign of their care while you were gone. When I returned home, my dog had an unbelievable amount of anxiety. She had been kenneled 23 1/2 hours a day. Her tail had rubbed raw from wagging her tail every time someone pasted her kennel. It took nearly a month for her behavior to return to normal. I knew all animals deserved better care than a kennel could offer.

I started Impervious Pets for the purpose of helping animal owners have another affordable option with a more personal level of care. My objective is to have your pets living in the same comfort and on the schedule that they have when you are home. They are walked, played with and cuddled every day.

I have experience caring for animals of all kinds. To date I have cared for; bunnies, chickens, goats, birds, fish , cats and dogs. I am interested in learning how you care for your pets including small farm animals.
