Hi ... We need a home. We are 8 weeks old, have not had shots yet but we are on eye medication. I am a calico and a girl, and I am a black stripe and a boy. We survived thanks to Peggy Beshears who saved 23 of us when someone put us in a cage and threw us in the weeds to die. Please contact Peggy Beshears to find out more information. You can also contact Linda Grant if you cannot get Peggy Beshears.

Hi everyone, we are not in a position yet to help as we have few more hurdles to jump before we can call it a successful opening. We are still making progress getting this project going. We will keep everyone updated as we go. Thanks for being there for us.

When a home is found or you would like to just foster and socialize these kitties we will help with getting them fixed and microchipped.
We wanted very much to help Wendy with her need but we had no foster family to place these kitties within the Stray Caretakers League (all volunteer network.) The fostering family will need to help socialize them before they are adopted out. The waiting list for the Louisiana Cat Coalition is 1 year at least. Please contact us at Stray Caretakers League page so we can help you once you decide to adopt these kitties or want to foster them. Thanks for helping Wendy find these kitties a warm place to go.

Here is a video on how to make a feral/stray cat shelter. If your needed or wanting to help out some of the strays or community cats in your neighborhood. Be sure to use straw not hay and they tell you why in the description below.

I happened across this article from Catt County Cat Nippers and thought it was very useful and wanted to share with you all. Its a very good idea.

Yesterday, we talked about not feeding directly out of cans and learned that many of you are not familiar with the tortilla trick! Let 's fix that! 👍

When we feed outdoor cats, we must be careful not to litter --especially in public spaces. Complaints about feeding and calls to remove cats often start when others observe and get upset over empty cans and bowls littering the ground. We must be careful not to leave trash behind.

Tortilla shells make a great biodegradable plate for cat food. Racc**ns and opossums -- who often visit feeding stations -- will also enjoy the leftover tortilla shell and run clean-up. Shells are cheap and take up little space as well.
