Bird flu cases have recently been detected in domestic cats in Colorado, and the situation is spreading rapidly. While there have been no confirmed human cases so far, it is important to be cautious as the virus can potentially transfer from animals to people. To protect both you and your pets, limit your cats' outdoor time, especially if you live in agricultural areas. After handling any cat, be sure to eash your hands thoroughly to reduce the risk of transmission. If you notice any of these symptoms of bird flu in your cat, seek veterinary care immediately.
