Earlier this year the amazing avian artist and my mom passed away. She made thousands of people happy with all the ornaments she made over the last 30 years. She painted all the way up to 90 years old and all those orders keep her busy and a reason to get up every day of the year and paint. It was truly her gift .

I often get asked “ what is yucca ?” It is a plant that grows in the southwest United States . The bloom stock that can grow up to 14 feet tall. When the stock has completed its cycle of flowering and spreading it seeds it is then ready to become a Jungletoy:) .Those that harvest it have heat, stickers ( bottom of plant) and the occasional rattle snake to deal with . I first noticed yucca on toys in the mid 1990s . Birds love to chew it up and some of our best selling toys are made of yucca.
