Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping animals (mainly cats) in our community. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Our founder is a professional cat behavior coach and offers assistance with transition to your home via text free of charge. She specializes in training ESA cats. Our History
Seeing a need for a rescue to support our community's animals,
we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've grown since then and have become an official non-profit organization, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community! Animals Are Our Mission
Our mission is to give abandoned and abused companion animals the love, medical care, and hope they deserve. We help create lifelong connections for people and their pets through education, help with low-cost sterilization, behavioral support, and outreach. How it all began
Our story starts on December 1st, 2020, with the Nextdoor app and a starving 18-month-old “feral” (technically undomesticated) cat named Turbo. Through Turbo we discovered the power of community and our ability to help kitties in need. During Covid, a time of great division in our country, we found a light to a greater good together in helping needy animals. We thank everyone who helped make this happen and in doing so became a vital part of our story and family. Turbo, who had never been touched by a human, was rescued in Riverside from a cat colony starving, unable to breathe due to extreme Calici Virus. He was so close to death he was unable to move and let us rush him to the emergency room. With the help of generous donors, Mira Loma Animal Hospital, and our founder Mindy Lynn, Turbo is now a vibrant, healthy teddy bear to Mindy and we have started A2R in his honor.

Her foster mom says she’s the cutest thing ever. She may be little and independent, but she’s also incredibly sweet, loving, and playful once warmed up to you. She is looking for a forever home with older children who can give her the patience and understanding needed to blossom. She needs another kitty companion in her forever home, as she loves having a furry friend to snuggle and play with. Will you be the one to give Heartly a loving forever home? 💜

Meet Micky: Act 1 🎬 🌟
Swipe to see the incredible transformation of Micky, a sweet little kitten rescued by a loving family traveling from the Bay Area to Southern California for a water polo tournament. 🏊♂️🏅
On their journey, they found Micky not doing well on the side of the road, about three hours from our rescue. He had burns on his feet, his whiskers appeared burned off, and he was so weak that he could only sleep. 🥺💔
They called us for help with resources while they were down here. The hotel was kind enough to let them keep him there after hearing his story. We gave Micky (found outside of McDonald’s) some fluids and high-protein food. The family was quite worried on Saturday, as he still hadn’t gone to the bathroom and was very weak, having stopped eating by Sunday morning. We gave him some more fluids before his trip and discovered he absolutely loved Churus, which got him eating again.
Today, we are thrilled to share that Micky has made a full recovery!!! 🐱❤️ The family kindly made a donation to Act 2 Rescue for our time, which helps us continue doing what we do. Thank you to the family for their kind hearts. It truly takes a village. We are glad we could be part of that village for you. Welcome to the A2R family, little Micky and your human companions! 🙏✨

Riverside County Animal Shelter is extremely near and dear to my heart. I first worked with them 9 years ago as they were building a community cat program…and I even adopted my dog there earlier this year! Now, Riverside’s shelter truly needs all of us to come together for kittens. They have an amazing goal to save 5,000 cats in 2024, including neonates! But they truly need all of us to pitch in.
I’m teaching a FREE bottle baby workshop there in less than 2 weeks, and I hope you will join me. Together we’ll learn about how to save the tiniest felines, and you might even have a chance to take some fosters home with you (hey, I might bring some home too!)

Our baby girl Paris is back at her foster home and alive and well! She’s a miracle. They said 50 is normal for RBC, 20 is critical emergency transfusion and 10 is dead. Paris was a 4! She is a fighter! Now to get this girl Healthy and a home. The PCR showed a Protozoa that embeds in red blood cells and the body kills the invader. She’s on 3 weeks of doxycycline and should be good! Please help us cover her bills. The vet bill is up to $2900 which is very low considering. We cannot thank Dr. Weber enough for saving her. This precious angel was found after being discarded on the freeway today that was my last . He was rescued by a wonderful family driving to work . They stopped and saved him just before he was able to run into lanes.He looks a little bit out of it so in spite of my recent surgery, I went ahead and held onto him so I can monitor him for a few days . we administered fluids due to his dehydration, cleaned him up, gave him b12 meds And applied warm compresses to his nose and eyes that were encrusted with what looks like blood or mucus. Who is now I’ve been syringe feeding him food trying to get him to eat. We are monitoring and will take him to the vet. If he appears to have any further issues I recently had surgery and I’m unable to foster him at the current time in the capacity back he needs we are desperately looking for Fosters many of our Fosters or triple booked and need some relief. If you can foster Coco or any of our other fosters, please reach out this takes a village and every foster saves lives anything else
