We had a very busy night feeding puppies and getting momma comfortable back home. Everyone is still doing great!
Breeders who are parents on top of everything we go through for our dogs, we need to give ourselves more credit and grace for all we do. Breeding is a full time job. We don’t get to leave the office and turn it off to enjoy our families. We live with our jobs.
I woke up to a message from a fellow breeder who I work with often and she said, “I just want to say, you handled today like a champ and you’re doing amazing!”
That reminded me how badly I needed to take a step back and look at this situation as yet another challenge that we got through. I am definitely tired with two little boys under the age of two and now a momma dog in recovery with her babies, who need extra attention themselves. But I have so much support everywhere I look!
Now that I finally have all my thoughts gathered from the last 24 hours, it’s time to announce our WINNERS of the HGD tumblr cups! We choose a winner for the closest date of birth and a winner for the litter size (8 pups)
