Please think of Coal this Giving Tuesday. It's surgery day!
At just 6 months old, Coal has already endured more pain than any living being should ever face. Rescued from euthanasia in Texas due to hind leg paralysis, this sweet, energetic pup’s zest for life captured our hearts. We brought him to Massachusetts, determined to give him a second chance.
An MRI was recommended to uncover the cause of his paralysis, but even before that, our vet spotted something shocking on his x-rays: a bullet lodged in his spine. Coal wasn’t just hit by a car, as initially suspected—this innocent puppy was shot in the back.
Despite everything, Coal remains loving, hopeful, and full of life. Now, we’re committed to ensuring he gets the best care possible to give him the future he deserves.
Next steps: Surgery day is here and rehabilitation to address his injuries and help him thrive.
