Just a yearly PSA!

Schatzie girl was once a cute snuggly pup and now she’s a big beautiful mommas girl! I see posts every year around this time needing to rehome a now full size pup because they’re too big, no time, doesn’t listen, orrrr the “I don’t want them crated for 8 hours while I work.”

I get it. At one point when I brought Schatzie home (covid pup) I thought to myself - what have I gotten myself into? Crate training a pup is TOUGH (worth it) and when she was old enough and fully vaxxed we both went to training.

I couldn’t imagine life without her or our other dogs. Other dogs who will freely lay in their crate while we’re home because that’s THEIR spot. I also have dogs who are big, wild, crazy, AND loud!

Don’t get the Christmas pup if you’re not prepared to love that dog furrrreverrrr! This isn’t to say that sometimes there aren’t circumstances where rehoming a dog is necessary because sometimes it is.

Research. Train. Most of all - LOVE! & if you need someone to let your dog out when you go on vaca - let me know. Or if you need help training a dog I have some names to recommend! 🤪

Sorry I’ve been pretty absent here. Most know my full time job of 9 years (Tyson Foods) came to an end recently and I accepted a new job with Republic Services. Don’t worry though - I’m still your go to girl when you need your pups let out. 🫶🏼

That being said. Holidays are coming up and if you’re planning a trip and need me- please get on my calendar soon!

I am accepting boarding clients! My maternity leave ends August 1! 🥳 Because my hands are also full with little miss, I will be limiting the number of dogs that I board at one time!

I’ll be home full time and can give your babies even more attention 🐾 With more limited availability, I can’t recommend enough booking in advance for boarding reservations! 🩷

Had quite the week last week! Huge thank you to the families that trust me with their fur babies. 🫶🏼

The Lord blessed us with some beautiful weather and I know Rocky & Oscar were thankful no rain interrupted their walks. Maggie, Bella, & Leo enjoy sitting out by their pool too! 😊🙃

Hi friends! 🤗

I have had quite a few new followers and some pretty great friends recommending me on here! I thought it might be a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Holly & that precious blondie is my soon to be 14 year old daughter and sometimes helper. 🫶🏼

I have been letting pups out, feeding, walking, etc for some pretty great families for about 3 years and I’ve added a whole new set of consistent pups this past year. (some cats too 🤪)

Summer time is coming which means vacations so don’t forget your furbabies. If you prefer to board I can give you some great recommendations for that, too! I don’t board in my home. 😅

I still work a full time job as well so if you message me during the day I promise I will get back with you ASAP!

Some great suggestions from Addy Forkum Fetch AF!!

Apple air tags are also a great option. You can buy collars that fit the tags or tag holders that would clip to their existing collars.

There are so many “lost dog” posts lately 😭
[and I’m not just talking about the scammers 🙄]

I thought it would be a great time to mention prevention measures! 🥳

• Microchip your pets! This way, if they are picked up by someone, they can be scanned by a vet and returned to you.
• Have identification & your up to date contact information on collars.
• Check gates / fencing for any signs of holes or digging. If you have electric fencing, check batteries on collars regularly.
• Obedience training [especially a strong recall] so that your dog will return to you when called!
• Don’t leave your pet unattended! Supervise them even during outside playtime / potty breaks in fences!
• Leash walk them during bad weather. ⛈️ Dogs have been known to jump fences when scared!
• Leash them in public places [slip leads/collars are great so that they cannot slip out of their regular collar with identifying information on it]
• Apple Air Tags allow you to GPS track your dog using the “Find My” app if you have an iPhone! You can find collars compatible with air tags to hold them!

& IF your dog does go missing….
• Contact local shelters and veterinarian offices with a description of your dog (send pictures if you can) & leave your contact information with them!
• Make a public Facebook post that includes photos, last known location/date/time your dog was seen, any distinguishing marks, a description of collar, s*x, etc. along with your contact information! *Delete said post once your pup is home safe & sound!
