I mean, they're dumber than chickens, and are probably the most stubborn and difficult animals to train on the farm for us so far. They make goofy sounds, roost in crazy places, and just generally get themselves into trouble doing the simplest things.
So when you FINALLY teach them a new trick, you gotta go on a night walk and enjoy your work. 😁

Wow, what an unexpected find! 🤯
We ran into @awaji_i_land_project and their beautiful indigo-dyed wares in East Austin today and learned so much about indigo production and use.
As producers, we are much more familiar with food crops and animals than we are with plants for dying textiles, so it was a blast to learn about the extensive growing and fermentation process that it takes to get from a tiny seed to the beautiful blue dye.
Sometimes, you need to take these little side quests that pop up during your errands because you may walk way with a whole new appreciation for something!
