Introducing your puppy to grooming tools like an electric razor can feel intimidating, but with positive reinforcement, it can be a breeze! Here's how:
1️⃣ Show & Sniff: Let your pup get comfortable with the razor (turned off). Allow them to sniff and explore. Say "YES!" and reward with a treat.
2️⃣ Turn It On: Turn the razor on at a distance, letting them hear the sound. "YES!" and treat for staying calm.
3️⃣ Gentle Touch: Touch the back of the razor (still off) to their paw or body for a brief moment. "YES!" and treat again.
4️⃣ Sound & Touch: With the razor on, gently bring it close without contact. Reward with a "YES!" and a treat for calm behavior.
✨ Repeat these steps consistently, keeping sessions short and positive. Soon, your puppy will associate the razor with treats and praise! ✨
