Now it's time for Lena to get her public access training in. Roxie came along, too, and we met up with our friend and her service dog in training as well as Roxie's potential recipient (all is lookingverypromisingthere!) Lena was far from perfect, but very good. She handled the crowds of people, running and screaming children and all the other dogs (including some that were a bit threatening) VERY well. It took her a few minutes to settle down nicely in the restaurant, but once she did, she was perfect!

We got some GREAT practice in at Burbank Airport! She was absolutely perfect in the large crowds and with other dogs around. She didn't at all mind all the luggage, carts and wheelchair or the loud noises, including a plane taking off. We even hung out at baggage claim for a while. She ignored absolutely everything just like she's supposed to! Video of her working under harness in comments.

We're all ready for our trip to Los Angeles, CA, where we'll once again proof public access training and make sure all task training is generalized. We'll experience a busy airport, a hotel stay, a visit to someone in a nursing home, visits to people's homes, various restaurants, etc! It's all quite a bit more than what we're used to in the Prescott area, but this one will surely be ready for a lucky recipient that will be starting handler training ❤️
