We managed to be able to hit the woods this morning after some 🦆 and it was definitely one for the memory books! We had a lot of firsts happen today!

Kevin & Deonte were able to harvest their 1st ducks this morning but taking a pair! Each with one shot!

Today was the first of many where we all come home having harvested a 🦆!

Yesterday we attended the October Open House with Monster, Sioux, Halo & Eli!

All of the dogs did an amazing job in the rain and the birds planters made sure the birds were there and would still fly!

Halo put down a smoking run in the Amateur Flushing to bring home a 🥇 place.

First we want to thank our buddy Andy Gibson for taking us under his wing the 2022-2023 duck season to show us the ropes!

Today is the last day of the 1st split of the 2023-2024 duck season and it was our first solo hunt with just us and our dogs! Bretta got her first duck retrieve last year and Benelli got hers today.

We have finally broken the ice and were able to harvest this beautiful drake wood duck this morning!

Lewis and Beaz Boyz Virginia Sioux put together a smoking run in the Friday Amateur Pointing at the Buckeye State Chukar Championship. This run is the BEST run Lewis and Sioux have ever had and managed to finish in 2nd 🥈 place out of 33.

We are very proud of the progress they are both making! Sioux is out of Kenny Wilson’s Kona and Josh Tucker’s Tyson!

This past week our girl Bretta turned 3 years old and for her birthday she got to spend it chasing a bunch of birds!

Today was day 3 and wrapped up the AMAZING 2023 PA State Championship held by Rustic Lodge Gun Dogs, LLC & Hardy Hill Pointers! This was a fairly large event and they had it running like a well oiled machine!

Bretta finished 6th and Benelli finished 7th out of 28 in the Open Flushing!

Halo finished 6th place in today’s Amateur Flushing and managed to finish as the 6th overall Amateur Flusher of the weekend.

The sting eating a well deserved meal after day 2 of the 2023 PA State Championship!

Today was Open Flushing/Pointing and Amateur Flushing/Pointing. We were unable to advance any of our open pointers to the finals tomorrow, but Bretta and Benelli put runs together to be able to make it to the finals in open flushing!

Another awesome day put on by Rustic Lodge Gun Dogs, LLC and Hardy Hill Pointers!

Today was the first day of the NUCS 2023 PA State Championship and it sure was a good one.

Today was Pointing and Flushing Doubles & Amateur Pointing. None of our dogs have run any doubles since March of this year and they came out of the gates tearing the fields up!

All 4 of the setters (Dupie & Spice, Jill & Isabelle) found their 6 birds and got all 6 backs for their 2 runs in very reasonable times! Spice & Dupie had the second doubles run of the day and their score managed to hold up to place 🥉out of 17 teams! Jill & Isabelle finished 8th.

Bretta and Benelli also came out of the gate strong! We managed to bag our 6 birds in a little over 7:30! With this run the girls placed 🥈 due to an extra shell, but we are very proud of the run they put down!

Tomorrows events start the Open Pointing & Flushing as well as another Amateur Pointing and Amateur Flushing!
