Following Feral Cat Franky Following Franky is a page created to bring awarenss to the feral cat problem across the nation. I h This page is to help Franky and his litter mate Sox.

We've rescued these two from living outside in my neighbors garage. They've been inside my home for almost 2 weeks and they're slowly making progress.

Update: Franky has been eating regularly 2 times a day for almost a week. He's been out a little more but likes to hide up under the table (I have blankets over the top of the table, so they hang down to give him a more private space to lay) he only lets my male cat and his litter mate Sox lay under there with him. No girl cats, he favors male cats from what I've seen, couldn't be bothered with my female cats. Still haven't been able to touch him and it's driving me crazy as I just want to scratch him all over sweet boy.

Franky feral first real meal since we rescued him. He did eat a small amount of food I sat down where he was hiding and now several hours later at 2:30am I find him out of his hiding spot in the open eating food with the other 2 cats. Black and white is Sox (his litter mate) and the all black cat is our blackie and he's about the same age as these feral cats, he's been helpful in making Franky and his brother feel safe. Anyways, Franky is still scared and not letting us touch him but I'm assuming he's finally got hungry enough to come out and eat a full meal. Any suggestions are welcomed on what we should do to help Franky feel more welcomed.

This was the beginning for Franky (grey) and Sox (Franky's liter mate black/white). We started feeding them to gain trust. Estimated age is about 6-7mts old. Born in the wild, Franky is a true feral cat, won't let you touch him, runs away at any movement. Sox's is a little more trusting, will let us touch him but stays on guard and will run away at any minute If he feels anxiousness. But finally after 2 weeks, we were able to get them to start feeding just inside the back door in the house. Then one week ago today (Thu) we got the opportunity to shut the door and trap them in the house, where the true work begins. Please follow Franky's page to see the progress these two feral cats make. We have never worked with feral cats so any help, suggestions, insight would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking for low cost vetting services in my area Belleville IL and unfortunately there isn't much so any help again would be wonderful.
