This year has been an absolute s$$$ Show with microchips. It’s awesome people are allowing me to help but it’s disgusting with many pets are getting out.

Not sure exactly what happened this year but 2023 was filled with stolen pets!

1) stolen and found 3 weeks later
2) dog was found in Louisiana and brought to FL by finder was brought back to Louisiana to rescue that adopted out
3) stolen for 6 years
4)stolen and found 3 weeks later
5) missing for 1 year
6) stolen over a year ago
7) reunited after 9 years

2 more for the book before New Years!

1) was found in Dallas Fort Worth Area. The vet told finder the microchip was unregistered. Turns out the vet didn’t read the chip number correctly and forgot the first 3 digits of the microchip. (Ughhhh) besides the point Blue is now home with his owner!

2) Fluffy who is blind and deaf found his way out to the Main Street after wandering out of his yard. His microchip was registered and I was able to locate the owner!! Fluffy is back home with the owner where he belongs!!!! Stay home old boy!

This weekend we will be seeing an influx of dogs roaming the street as it’s the holiday season. People forget to close gates or it’s not latched all the way etc etc. PLEASE CHECK YOUR GATES BEFORE LETTING YOUR DOG(S) OUTSIDE!!

I guess you could say I have been busy! Stogie is back home safe and sound! This sweet 8 1/2 golden retriever was found in the streets of Knoxville TN the other day! My friend tagged me in the post and the next morning the finder sent me a picture of the chip number! It is registered and we spent all day trying to contact the owner and sure enough we did and Stogie was reunited this morning!!!! So happy for them!

A registered microchip can get your pet home so much quicker after being found and scanned.

Today I had a phone call from someone who found this cat in Boca Grove area. The cat had a chip and was registered into the owners name but the chip company couldn’t get a hold of the owner. I called the chip company and texted the number on the microchip and I made contact with the owner! Leo the orange kitty has been missing for 3-4 months. The owner tried to locate him all this time and nothing. She made flyers, looked at the shelters, posted as lost all over Facebook and still couldn’t find him until today!

My 2022 microchip system unfortunately had 30 microchips more than 2021 and I don’t see it slowing down any time soon 😞. Anyways here are my stats

Owner found and surrender: 35
Reunited: 151
Dead end: 14

Now let me run this through your heads. Only 12 of these pets had rabies tags or tags with outdated information on them.

85% of these pets had outdated microchips
15% of them were unregistered microchips

2023 we are starting strong with only 2 microchips (which is super good. By the 7th of 2022 I had 10 microchips already)

It all started with a found dog last night. The finder couldn’t keep the dog so my friend Marianela offered to foster until we could find the owners. She took the dog around the block and asked someone if they knew who the dog belongs to and he took her to the address but the lady claims she found her 3 days ago and thought she was cute so didn’t scan for a chip… Marianela refused to give the dog back to the lady because the lady couldn’t provide proof. Marianela went to get the dog scanned for a chip and immediately called me with the chip number. I called into the chip company got the owner info and turns out this dog was filed as stolen/lost 7 years ago. 7 YEARS AGO!! When this dog was stolen off their yard she was only 6 months. The owners never thought she would be getting her baby back. If this chip was not registered we wouldn’t have found the owners last night or at all.

MICROCHIPS WORK!!! Microchip/tag register and keep updated! You never know when you’re going to get that call!

1. “NALA” is going home!!! This sweet 11-12 year old was found and Teajay Smith offered to take her in until owner was located. I found the owners Facebook and had a possible lead as the owners friend had a mutual friend. In less than an hour of me seeing the posting Nala will be on her way home! Stay home sweet girl!

2. Odie was just found walking around the village of central square NY. I then got a phone call from Salon Divine who asked me to come and scan for a chip! He had one and we called the owner and she rehomed Odie. Thankfully the owner knew who she rehomed the dog to and he is now back with the owner

3. Reunited: June 6th 2022
Lost: May 24th 2022
This dog was brought to MDAS today by the finder and we were told this dog has an unregistered chip within mins we have the chip sent to me and owner was located! This dog has been missing since May 24th which means someone was looking after him this whole time of missing. This baby is going back home after a week of missing!

4. Late last night I got a text from a friend of mine stating that she has a finder who found this dog on a highway. The chip is of course unregistered and nothing I could do until this morning. I get owner info we make contact and cookie is now back with owner!

5. Cacheeto is back home as of 6/7/22after being found last night by a finder who was told chip was unregistered which turned out it actually was!!

6. Sweet senior Rex is back home! After vets told a rescue the chip was unregistered that rescue called me asked me for the help in less than 25 mins we have owner info and he was reunited!!!

7. After being brutally woken up at 6:30 am just to be told a friend has 2 pitties in her back seat (she claims she called me as it was a 911 call 🤣) Tank and Herbo have been reunited!

Boss is back home today after being brought in as a stray from Kansas City MO. Today KC Pet Project sent me the microchip and within an hour I was talking to the owners mother and the owner! The owner of Boss immediately went and reclaimed Boss! Although the chip was not updated it was still possible to locate the owner! Chip your animals!

Some of the dogs I reunited this past week!

1- animal rescue picked up and chip was unregistered I was not giving up getting owner info! (Miami FL)

2-chip was registered and vet said the chip was not finder then called the chip company and was told they have no info on the chip. When I called and got owner info we were able to reunite this little one in less than 15 mins! (Miami FL)

3) Dog was scanned for a chip by me and was reunited in less than 15 mins (NY)

4) has to do some sleuthing around to locate owners daughter to get in contact to get this dog home dog had a tag and number wasn’t going through (Miami Florida)

Starting this year with the first dog reunited!! “Juliet” is back home after going 4.4 miles since last night due to the fire works!! MICROCHIP YOUR DAMN ANIMALS AND REGISTER THEM!!!

Vets are still telling people microchips are not registered!! Finders it is always safe to let a microchip tracker to check out more info than the vet can provide

Another one before the new year starts and big changes made with my microchip system!! Owner was 82 years old and didnt know where to start looking for his dog named Sue. After a few days from when the finder texted me I finally was able to research the microchip and this sweet girl sue is reunited!!!!

Tonight was a great Reunion! This dog was found with a microchip and the number was the wrong number. With the help of my friend Jennesy Rivero Del Rosario we were able to locate the owner pictured below with her 16 year old puppers! She is from California and is visiting her sister and someone accidentally left the gate open. I have told the owner to update the chip with her new phone number and she is doing that this evening! Team work reunites them

ANOTHER ONE TO MARK FOR THE BOOKS!

We had a cat found in Pompano beach Florida. He had a chip and of course the chip is outdated. I’ve tried everything to locate the owner on the chip to have no progress. I found the owner on the chip on Facebook and couldn’t reach her or her friends. UNTIL 2 days later I hear from the person who gifted this cat to her friend on the chip and she wanted him back. Her and her sister tried so hard to contact the person on the chip to again no available. The kitty named “Buddy” is back home to the original owner who gifted this cat to the girl on the chip!

3 days ago I got tagged on a microchip that was “unregistered” upon further Investgation I determined the chip was actually registered. I was able to get owner info but it was outdated. I made contact with the owners mom and it turns out the dog was “stolen” from her yard. The finder who found the dog tried telling the vet she will bring the dog back in 2 weeks. The finder also said she went on vacation. I immediately called the owner and she immediately called the police in Sunrise. She got the run around with their officers the last 2 days until today owner received a phone call from one of their detectives! If it wasn’t for the sunrise police department and the owner making sure sunrise police were always on this case and didn’t drop the ball the police officers were able to get Lilly back to owners and the “finder” who tried keeping Lilly is going to be charged with theft of stolen property!! The police tried telling the owner at first it is a civil matter.

SEVERAL LESSONS LEARNED FROM THIS LOST DOG CASE!
•DO NOT leave your dogs outside unattended. They can be stolen/lost within 5 seconds
•NEVER LET an officer tell you it’s a “civil” case and needs to be taken to civil court. Animals in the state of Florida are considered property. Read the law to them or go to higher up such as the police chief!
•Make sure you stand your ground with the officers/department and call everyday until you have your animal back in your arms!
•NEVER let your voice be silenced by an officer
