Summer Tips for Keeping Your Dog Hydrated!

🐶Is your pup prepared for the 4th of July fireworks?

July 4th is just around the corner, and while it's a fun time for us, it can be stressful for our furry friends. Here are 5 tips to help your dog feel safe and calm during the festivities:

Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area in your home where your dog can retreat to if they feel overwhelmed. Include their favorite bed, toys, and maybe a piece of your clothing for comfort.

Keep Them Indoors: During fireworks, keep your dog inside with windows and curtains closed to reduce noise and visual stimulation. Turn on the TV or play calming music to help drown out the fireworks.

Exercise Early: Take your dog for a long walk or play session earlier in the day to tire them out. A tired dog is a calmer dog!

HELP! Flynn needs our help! Flynn was part of a rescued litter fostered by our friends right at the time we first launched the Original Doggy Bag. He and his brothers and sisters were the perfect models! Fast forward to today, Flynn is undergoing his 2nd corrective surgery for his front legs due to Angular Limb Deformity. As we all know when we rescue, we rarely get any medical or back history on these pups.
